If they couldn't solve the situation during 2 fukuing years then I say we are finished, it'll much worse.

My opinion is than Mother Gaia will step in to save Herself and She will sink parts of Japan, it inevitable, although I feel very sorry for the Japanese people.

Chernobyl at first the gov and the plant's brass tried to keep everything under wraps, much like what was going on at Fuku until recently Tepco finally admits defeat, notice no-one has rushed to help yet....

Eventually they all caved and began evacuating a 30km zone, (home to around twice as many of the 20km zone at Fukushima) and placed it under military control.

The reactor suffered two explosions, the second of which (luckily*)ending the reaction process, this hasn't happened at Fuku.

Once the fires had been choked with dense material and boron the race against time began to entomb it, this supposedly "isn't possible" at Fuku.

P.S Chernobyl rating didn't magically drop from 7 - 1 once the fires went out.

In Chernobyl the Fuel exploded and burned for 10 Days,
something like this never happened in Japan,
the link is from a Room full of Batteries close to the Sea
but not the Fuel itself!

The Evacuation in Japan started in the Evening of the 03/11 and not days later like in Soviet Russia.

The end of the Fission Process was reached very quick in Japan,
already a few Days after the Venting and the reestablished Cooling
because we still have a working Containment in Daiichi,
there was no Containment in Chernobyl

We here are still in a declared State of nuclear Emergency
and not in a State of Lala!

But, mother earth has to save herself from humans. That's a more pressing issue. Mother earth doesn't need to worry about time so much. Wipe out the humans now and earth will return to its old majesty in time, the radiation will disappear.

Chernobyl was a mess, no-one is trying to deny that, but comparing it to the shitstorm that is still ongoing at fuku is laughable.
