no, just not into arguing tritium and strontium and all those other detected products of fission.

Look, it was more an illustration of the real-life China Syndrome going on there.

What's hot is not going to cool down any time soon. Face some facts.

bump

Either no one is interested in this, or, JUST READING THE THREAD TITLE is horrifying enough, kinda like a TMI mind-fuck.

Have you any idea, any conception, of the volume of salt water that comprises the Pacific Ocean?

I don't, which is why I call upon GLP's resident science shills to enlighten us all!

Represent, Dr. Shillstro, Shillcyon Dayz, shillmuse nli, Snake Shill-lines and G. Shillhouse!

717 million cubic kilometers.

And exactly, EXACTLY mind you, how many ergs would it take to boil all that water?

Approx 2.4x10^20 joules? It depends on temperature.

Few hundred million hydrogen bombs, released slowly and dissipated evenly. Only celestial matters can boil the Ocean, which is one body named with arms and legs by man. You couldn't boil the "Pacific" without the rest.

You understand the Half- Life of Strontium and Tritium Vs.
the Half-Life of Iodine-131?
(means you have this Tritium and Strontium even 100 Years
after the whole Plant is dismatled)

I think you need to face the fact that you have to study
the Accident and the min. of Nuclear Energy a bit longer,
me 2.!

Eerie Fog

An odd observation among local residents is that the presence of tritium is sometimes visible in a spookily dense fog. Amateur fishermen told me that narrow bands of fog hugging the cliffs are frightening enough to deter them from venturing to the shore. The fog was described by a 78-year-old local resident as “moya” or miasma. “Throughout my entire life along this shore, I have never before in summertime seen such an eerie miasma,” he whispered. “It is as if a ghost has descended on our bay.”

So 1 gallon of water = 8lbs (roughly)

250 gallons of water x 8lbs. = 1 ton (2000lbs)

400 tons of water = 100,000 gallons of water

660,000 gallons of water in an Olympic swimming pool to give you an idea of what their talking about.
