So I aint really no expert on shit on the radio.

Calling what Miley did sexual, even while claiming it is offensive, is an attempt to normalize Miley.

But she was representing perversion far beyond mere sex. She was expressing a perversion so foul, most people couldn't watch the whole thing. To say you can't listen to some 1935 song in comparison is ridiculous.

The reason why its worse is because the good artists who truly care for the world and want to do some good for the world don't get any air time on the radio stations or on the tv shows while crappy artists like Cyrus gets all the focus. Its even worse for young people, for older folks like me we at least got some OKish musicians like Kelly Clarkson, LinkIn Park, Train and Lady Antebella. We even got some good ones like Snow Patrol, not to mention the whole hosts of people we actually grew up with.

Up to this point the best musician I have found marketed for young people today is Cher who doesn't really even compare to Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson's music might be a tad feminist, but at least she has her music grounded in a firm sense of morality and maturity. Cher strikes me as a person who just wants a boy who loves her. Granted she is a lot younger and hasn't had the life experiences Clarkson had available, but Cher's music still seems shallow even when comparing it to Clarkson's earliest music.

The only hope young people have for finding quality music today is to stop looking at what the corporations are offering them as first choice musicians. Instead they should look for those who either receive little marketing support, are entirely independent, musicians of past generations, or artists marketed to older folks.
