Re: Queen Elizabeth II - is NOT the rightful heir to the throne of England
The Duke of Clarence was a nasty guy. He beheaded the seventeen year old Prince of Wales, Edward of Westminster. Some say it was on the orders of his brother King Edward IV but either way both men deserved the nasty fate awaiting them. Some say the prince even begged for mercy. I know that Owen Tudor asked for a reprieve before he was beheaded by Edward's, who was the earl March at the time, order after the battle of Mortimer's cross. He basically killed Henry Tudor's family forcing him and Jasper Tudor to flee to France.

The mother of the Prince of Wales, Margaret of Anjou, died and like the Shakespeare play it seems revenge was brought against the house of York. King Edward IV beheaded the Duke of Clarence for treason and banned is descendants from inheriting the throne so Hastings claim does not hold up. Then Edward IV died suddenly on fishing trip leaving his own son Prince Edward as the new king. Before Edward V could be crowned, Edward's own brother, Richard, took him prisoner and then took his younger brother prisoner. Richard of Gloucester then declared them illegitimate and made himself king. The two princes were never seen again and Richard, now King Richard III alluded to their murder.

It was an awful end to the House of York and the biggest insult was when Henry Tudor came back and killed Richard at the Battle of Bosworth Field. King Henry is the rightful heir to the thrown by conquest but the House of York was responsible for its own downfall.

Horrible backstabbing upon people of your own flesh. No wonder God says not many noble are called.

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;

Thought that was interesting OP, thanks! At the end of it, it made me wonder who was the winner and who the loser. I mean, you look at the queen, with her fake life, and you look at the old guy in OZ, who really should be King, and he's so happy with his life.

Who is happier?
