You are 100% correct OP. We should look back at Iraq.

Saddam used chemical weapons, and killed 3000 of his own people. We are a non-pussy nation had an obligation to get involved for some reason, and killed nearly 4500 us troops, and wounding 30,000+. Not to mention our peacekeeping mission that ended the lives of over 100,000 civilians.


So, lets look at Syria. The whole world is watching him fight with his own people. The rest of the world (including his allies) draw a line and say if chemical weapons are used, they will jump in and kick his ass. Syria then decided that the best way to win this civil war was to use chemical weapons to kill a few hundred civilians? Why in gods name would he do that? Doesn't it make FAR more sense that the rebels used them to draw more people in to fight for them? If Assad was going to use them, why not a bigger population? That area (as far as I know there was no significance to the target area ... and no important target at that time)

Now, we are seeing video online of a rebel cutting out and eating the heart of a Syrian solder. Clearly, these are the people we should send weapons and assistance to.
