OP, thanks, it was news to me. I've been busy working in my garden, and putting up food, so I'm a bit behind on the news.

Remember people, man survived 6000 years without power... only the last hundred have we been so spoiled...

Ever since I saw Live Free or Die Hard I've always thought the war of the future would be cyber. I mean computers control our lives to such a serious extent that it could really be a crippling blow to any nation if there was a wide scale long term blackout. I mean game over man, game fucking over.

I remember the blackout in 2003 pretty vividly. I was only 14 at the time but it was a pretty big shock initially, but I got over it quick because I was young, didn't give a fuck and was outside all the time. Thank god it was in the summer or shit could have gone bad quickly. I mean it was hot, but at least we didn't freeze.

I guess we'll have to keep an eye on this one..

Anyone who stays in major cities will face Fire without Water, Gangs of Looters, Disease from Sewer backups and no toilets (again no water). National Guard With Foreign troops will impose martial law in major cities and take anyone deemed a health or safety issue to the nearest FEMA Camp.
Guns will be declared contraband and those packing will be shot on sight by police and military.

Without power all gas stations, and grocery stores will be closed or quickly cleaned out by mobs, most local police will stay home to protect their families.
