We're all one breath or one heartbeat away from death. Yet, we don't think about it or panic about it on a daily basis.

Then what's with all the freak-outs about Fukushima, incoming comets, pandemics or WWIII?

You can't do anything more about any of this than you can do about a heart-attack or pulmonary embolism. In fact, you can do less. You can live healthy and prolong your life that way. You can't do crap about Fukushima or WWIII.

All this worry, fear and quiet desperation I see on GLP is making you waste (and probably shorten) your lives and lower your quality of living.

Just accept whatever is going to happen. You will be fine - even in death.

I am ready to depart. I meditate on death daily. Death is no evil, just an operation of nature. Considering the vastness of time on each side of the present moment, our lives are but a blink. I will meet death cheerfully with out tragic display. Soon my soul will fall out of this envelope of a body.

For to that faculty in us which is unreasonable and disordered and violent, and does not come from the gods, but from evil spirits, the ancients gave the name Titans, that is to say, those that are punished and subjected to correction.~ Plutarch.
