Isaiah is about how it pleased God to send His only son to the grave. The speaker of that verse is the beginning and the end of the Bible. The condensed version of the one true God can be pictured by reading Ge:1-3 and Re:1-3. Ge:3:15 put some events in the way of getting to the last part. All the actual history of the OT was geared towards the completion of that single verse. By rights the 4 Gospels belong to that history as the cross was used to define what the term 'bruise' means. The cross made it physical death, for a man (which is what Christ was manifest into by the Holy Spirit), death to a being of the 2nd birth (being able to see God's face and live while you also know about good and evil). Death to an angel who sins is a one way trip to the fiery lake, that is a bruise to Satan.

He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Re:16:17:
