People need to look back at the history of russia and their allies.

The only thing russia will do is supply arms, they will not get directly involved (sending in troops or planes). Just as they did during the korean and Vietnam war.

Sure they have naval ships in the region but the ships are there merely for monitoring the situation. Just as they did during other crises such as the Six Day war.
