How are you people not believing the bible and turning your life over to Christ?

I have read the bible friend, many times. When i say i believe in his message and example i mean it.

God blessed me with a logical brain. That brain tells me the bible has been altered everytime it was translated and purposefully altered by Constantine and company to fit their agenda.

Again, i would have been more impressed with a man who found god in his heart than some kind of holy royalty that may or may not be the same person i read about in an ancient and repeatedly altered and abridged text from 2000+ yrs ago.

Ultimately you are telling me it doesn't matter though. Just read and pray and He will show me the way out of the perversion his church has become.

A lamp to guide His people. The God of David the king, to whom his son Solomon received the greatest wisdom. The God who provided a messiah through the line of Abraham. The God who is the only one who may feel jealousy and the only God who rightfully serves justice.

The God who does not force you to love Him the God who gave us free will. The God who seeks us. The God who doesn't need your "good deeds" or your intelligence or your money. The God who isn't impressed with your debating skills or your degree. The God who uses the humble to shame the proud. The God to whom everyone will come face to face with at their death. The God who forgives the sorry and resists the proud. The God who reveals His secrets to the childlike and hides himself from the prideful "know-it-alls"

The God whom you will never know unless you see how rotten and empty you are without Him.

Honest answer, because it is too contradictory.

I don't just mean that it contradicts itself, but that it contradicts what I know and have experienced of God.

For one, I have been to the Father and I did not go through Jesus. Does that mean Jesus lied? Either it was a mistranslation, a misinterpretation, or a work of fiction.

Secondly, your Bible God wants you to fear him and believes this is wisdom. If you had ever met God, the true God, you would know that fear cannot exist in his presence. In fact, the true definition of fear is "the belief that you are separate from God". God is the absence of fear.

I do not fear my Creator. He is pure, absolute, unconditional love. In fact he is so far beyond love there are no words to describe it.

The God of your Bible is nothing compared to the true God.

I'm going to have to stop you at the bible has been proven historical. In part yes, in totality? no never and it never can be can it? We can't go back in time. The torah has been proven historically accurate in part as well, sharing some of the same stories as the bible in fact. As have other holy books people die and kill over.

So the the fact that scribes accurately recorded the names of ancient cities and the actions of some Kings is hardly proof of an omnipotent beings son having walked the earth.

Seriously, everything happening right now was written about 4, 000 years ago and it's all comming into frutition exactly. War with Syria. Russia and other arab countries attacking Israel, Israel rebuilding the temple mount. Economic collapse, before you even knew the words "New World Order" it was written in the bible thousands of years ago about a one world government with a cashless monitored society.

Do you honestly believe that the whole world nations and powers can be controlled in such a way, to follow something exactly to the dot? We can barley agree on simple things yet alone coordinate on that large of scale with countries like Iran, Syria, China, Russia or any other country for that matter.

Everything written in the bible about prophecy is happening exactly as written which proves the existence that an all knowing god wrote it, and the bible is true.

Meaning the part about ETERNAL life is also true. Gods promise and free gift is still alive today for everyone who chooses to accept it.

God came down from heaven in human form as Jesus and sacrificed himself and was slaughtered like an animal as a sacrifice for our sins.

That if we believe that he died for us, all of our sins are forgiven present and future and we will stand righteous before god and have everlasting life.

Not follow one thousand rules and if you mess up, or if you dont meditate properly you are doomed. Only pure love whould make it so easy and simple to live forever, just believe thats it.

If you prayed the above sincirely with all your heart and soul, you are forever saved. God says nobody can snatch you from his hand once you are in it. Of course we will sin and fall again just like we all do everyday, but our sins will be forgiven and god will truly change our lives.

A little bit about me. I was an athiest born a muslim, practiced new age. And one day when I felt real empty probably still high from weed. I also prayed for my perfect soul mate, no such thing but the best person for me, and for $6, 000 to buy a taxi car so I could work. Immediately the next day or two I spoke to this girl online and we both got an undescribable feeling that we were meant to be together forever, this connectedness thats undescribable. We have now been 8 years together.

Secondly, one of my penny stocks which for the last 3-4 years was worthless all of a sudden went up 10, 000% in one day and was worth $6, 000. Out of the millions of penny stocks out there a company chose this one to do a reverse merger.

Also, when me amd my current fiance spoke online some weird things happened. One time we flipped coins to see if we were meant to be together. We basically ended up flipping 5 seperate times and 5 times ina row and we kept getting the same outcomes! The chances of this happening are Iimpossible or a probability that it would never happen in thousands of life times.

Lastly, in msn messenger you can send messages and the person would recieve them when they signed on. I sent her about 11 messages, and she got all of them besides one when she signed on.

When I mentioned Jesus name talking about something, I wrote something about it, then the next line I wrote to Jesus

All of a sudden she got the missing message which said "I LOVE YOU"

You're story is almost the opposite of mine. I was born and raised a Christian. As I became an adult I began to question the reality of it all. Then, I finally got to point where I said a prayer...something like..."God, if you're out there give me a sign. I'll drop everything and champion for you. Just give me a sign. I want to do what is right. If you're truly out there and truly care, I know you will some day show me" Never got a thing. Years later, I became an atheist. It made sense to me that we're born, we live, we die and that's it. I was okay with that. I still practiced the Golden Rule just because it's a decent way to live. Then, at the age of 58 I had a heart attack and flat lined 3 times. My spirit/consciousness/essence was in a wonderful place. I sensed a dimension to myself that I'd never sensed before. What little information I got (that I remember) from that place came from within. No God, no Jesus, no judgement...only enlightenment. A presence there, but not God or Jesus as we've been taught.
What I got from this is it's not what you believe (or don't believe)...it's what's inside that's important. Practice the Golden Rule and look within yourself for love and understanding. (That's what Jesus meant when he said "the Kingdom is within...yes, there are a few truths in the Bible). When you do you will discover the importance of unconditional love and how it works. You will understand why people do the things they do and you will forgive them...no matter what it is they've done. You will forgive yourself because you know your ego and spirit are two different entities (it's like getting in a car and driving it. You have control of it...what are you going to do with it?). What happens in this life stays in this life and when the spirit leaves it's physical form it will come to know the value of unconditional love. That why some NDErs see God/Jesus...some don't. It's kind of a review of where you're consciousness was in this life.
I'm going to hear "oh, that's new age stuff" and negative comments like that. Well, that's okay. I don't care if you don't believe me...that's not important. But please follow the Golden Rule. It's okay to say "I don't believe you" but it's not okay to hate someone. Religion does that (especially the Abrahamic religions). They actually tend to sever the spirit from it's source. But if you feel you need religion and if your religion causes you practice unconditional love that's fine.
The bible is written by men, as are all religious texts. If any of them lead you to unconditional love, then that's good. When any of them lead to vanity, intolerance, or hate...that's bad. And indeed they do...especially the Abrahamic ones.

The story is historical nothing crazy about it. Him knowing everything doesnt change your free will. If I know what your going to do tomorrow doesnt not impact your free will at all.

You burn yourself your the one who chooses with your own free will to believ or not, your decision leads you there. He tries everything in his power to not lead you there.

Lastly, he created us, we are sinful scumbags so he has every right to destroy every single one of us. His love shows that he gives us an option to be saved, and option that no one person on earth deserves.

If I drew something and didnt like the way it turned out I would destroy it and remake it. God on the other hand being loving sacrificed himself to not destroy us.

Yes he knew that we would be sinners, he actually made us without sin, but we chose it. End of the day he knew we would all sin, and he still created us because he knew some of us would still be saved.

Instead of not creating us at all, he decided too so a few can be created even if the rest destroy themselves.
