If you are not physically fit you won't be able to hike with that 40 pound rucksack. Becoming fit does not really cost anything financially. It's an investment of your time and energy for return of your own health. I do Tacfit commando. It's a type of high-intensity interval training, That incorporates flexibility mobility and recovery into the program. All that is required is a yoga mat. |

That's awesome. I do have a small portable cooking thing, tons of candles, the small yet cheap stuff. I live in a small place so storing isn't easy. I use to have a prep site saved on my computer until I bought a new one. I need to look it up again. Let's just pray nothing major happens anytime soon. |

Raingear that is durable, and a rechargeable or crank charge flash light/radio. I have 2 bottles of the tablets. I seen those drinking straws I wonder how well they work. I got a knife, boots not hiking but they are boots so I will look around for those. I have water proof matches, a flint to go along with it. I have the disposable rain gear and those metallic blankets. And I have the last also. So there is a few things I need along with sleeping bags and some kind of coverage like a tent or large tarp. |

In my opinion if you want to help your child, start teaching him how to shoot, Hunt, dress animals and fish. also with that book it has plants that are good to eat.
