Really struggling with Illuminati Symbolism from the Agnostic Point of View
Most of my life, up until about four or five years ago, I was an extremely devout Christian. I know the bible cover to cover and refused to even read any other books outside of the Bible because I felt at the time anything else was likely tainted by the Deceiver. Concurrent to my Faith, I also had a relatively strong belief in aliens, the paranormal, ghosts, and that kind of thing. Then I watched some reports on the ancient alien theories and some of the other archeological evidence that seemed to prove technological capabilities beyond the scope of conventional teachings and it became progressively harder to justify blind faith in the Bible and in religion, when there is so much observable evidence to the contrary.

Now I know Christians live on faith and we are supposed to trust in the Lord to guide our hearts and minds to the truth and blah blah blah. But isn't that what the Heaven's Gate people did? Did not the Jim Jones followers have this same faith? How would one know that you were truly following some divine purpose and not just the agenda of some fraud in a robe? The function of a preacher is to convey the Word of God and make you feel good about it. Lately, it seems like there is a lot more of the latter than the former. In fact, when I was watching Joel Osteen regularly one thing that he almost never says is the name Jesus. He rarely even references him. He seems to be one of this new form of religious manipulation, much like Christianity most likely was in the beginning (and now), taking the life lessons and peaceful concepts and teachings but omitting the cast and characters. It turns religion into another form of therapy, complete with the world's first placebo, the sacrament wafer.

So anyway, my current struggle and curiosity is all of this alleged Illuminati symbolism. Now I am not so much an atheist as I am an agnostic, so the thought of a relevant (if not dead) old world (pre-medieval) religion or perhaps reality on which every subsequent religion is based. Would this not explain the common storyline and cast of characters? The customs, practices and observances sharing similar behavior and even dates (though the observed dates appear to be in contradiction to the storyline?)? And if that is all true, is it not possible that the mainstream religions were made and proliferated throughout the world in an effort to reserve the real religion around the real power of the world. Is this what we are seeing at Bilderberg and Bohemian Grove? Did Josephus inspire the New Testament Bible stories to help the Romans maintain power throughout the region through religions?

I don't really care if I am wrong. Because if I believe nothing else, it is for sure that if there is a so called Higher Being than He probably doesn't share the vanity of mankind, needing everything to take a knee and stroke his ego.

Just saying.

Fallen angels and their offspring, the Nephilim were able to build those ancient structures.

The last few years have been mind bending for me OP. I have heard from God, seen a ghost, watched an alien spaceship for a couple hours, heard the voice of a dead friend, and had numerous dreams from God. All of this would be dead panned under our current system of religion. I had to step away to find truth. Come out of her my people!
