rest assured they will rue the time they've spent parroting scripture to others throughout their lives and threatening others about some faux HELL and damnnation, rather than learning the truth of the matter in full so they might have something of actual value and worth to offer up

tis they who will be wailing for mountains to fall upon themselves, and I can readily fathom the why of such in all regard

I have never called him that up until now and I assumed it was correct because the Jewish people call him that according to the old testament. Jesus has many names. One of which is what you spoke of. The Muslims call their God Allah correct? But their God is not the God we speak of.

I am a believer in Christ, but I do not believe in eternal torment because it's not in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures, just like majority of early church fathers did not preach this Pagan Hell lie...

Universal reconciliation was a prevailing doctrine of the Early Church . Even Augustine did not call those early Church Fathers and their followers heretics never mind other names you call us ..

No not at all because those who do not judge tend to stick with our side. It doesn't bother me I have no one to impress but God. So what do you think Hell really means? I plan on getting a concordance bible soon so I can understand what the Bible is talking about in plain English.

First as Believers in Yahushua, we are instructed in His Word to spread the Good News. 2nd we are also told as Watchmen that we are to warn lest their blood be on our hands and we are held accountable for that. 3rdly, if you see someone going over a cliff and do not snatch them back, then how did you show that person love? We are to love one another including our enemies and we are to pray for them. So we MUST share His Word of the free gift of Salvation. We Must warn others so that they may turn and repent and be saved. It is not a matter of us being and/or feeling superior to anyone. Granted some people get over zealous. Granted there are some that are actually wolves in sheeps clothing, that set about to do what they can to turn people away from Yahushua and Salvation. We are to be kind, and patient and to treat each other with respect while showing the lost that there is forgiveness and Salvation for each and everyone. Each and every person has free will to accept or reject His Gift of Salvation. So although you may find some peoples tactics wrong and distasteful....as Believers we are compelled to speak up and speak out and try to bring as many as we can to seek HIM. The Holy Spirit will convict them, they each have free will, we are just the guides. And remember not everyone that claims to be Christians/Believers are.

THE PAGAN DOCTRINE OF HELL
Embraced and Christianised by Roman Catholicism


The doctrine of hell and the truth of the Bible that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world cannot both be true at the same time. The Bible is the Word of God and it does not contradict itself. It is the doctrine of hell which is false and unbiblical.

The Bible, in the original Hebrew and Greek Manuscripts, does not mention hell or everlasting punishment in any way whatsoever. Hell is a mistranslation. Jesus Christ did not believe in hell and He did not preach hell.

God mightily used Apostle Paul to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul was a Universalist through and through. He preached the Good News of Universal Salvation and Reconciliation to all of the churches where he ministered in his thirty-two years of ministry. The following scriptures show and prove that Apostle Paul preached the Gospel of Universal Salvation and Reconciliation:

Romans 5:18-19, 11:26,32, 1 Corinthians 15:22-23, 2 Corinthians 5:15-19, Galatians 3:8-9, Ephesians 1:7-10, Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:15-20, 1 Timothy 2:3-6, 4:9-10 and Titus 2:11-12.

There is only one statement made by Apostle Paul, in 2 Thessalonians 1:9, that speaks of ‘everlasting (aionios) destruction’, but this is a mistranslation of the Greek word aionios, as we explain in Chapter 17.

Of course, Apostle Paul fully understood that God will not allow any unrighteous person to enter the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9), but Paul also fully understood that God’s power, His love and justice will not allow any unrighteous person to remain unrighteous forever. Ultimately, in God’s time and order, all without a single exception will come to believe in the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, as we have clearly shown from Scripture in Chapter 12.

Apostle Paul’s ministry reached thousands of early Christians in many regions, cities, towns and villages including Damascus, Cilicia, Jerusalem, Antioch, Pisidia, Iconium, Lystra, Derbe, Lycaonia, Galatia, Troas, Philippi, Thessalonica, Berea, Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, Malta and Rome.

We can be sure that the early Christians believed in Universal Salvation and Reconciliation, just like Apostle Paul. History confirms that Universalism was the belief of the very early Christians following the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The concept of eternal torment in hell is nowhere to be found in the original Hebrew and Greek Manuscripts of the Bible, but it is found in the writings of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. For example, Plato (427-347 BC) discusses the concept of hell in his dialogue ‘Gorgias’ where he speaks of eternal punishment.

There can be no doubt that belief in eternal punishment in hell was a pagan belief embraced and Christianised by the church in Rome in the early years of the history of Christianity. Consider this quote from The Schaff-Herzog Encyclopaedia of Religious Knowledge, vol. 12, page 96: Retrieved April 29, 2007.


“During the first five centuries of Christianity, there were six theological schools, of which four (Alexandria, Antioch, Caesarea, and Edessa, or Nisibis) were Universalist; one (Ephesus) accepted conditional mortality; one (Carthage or Rome) taught endless punishment of the wicked.”

It was indeed the Church at Rome which first taught the pagan doctrine of endless punishment of the wicked, under the umbrella of Christianity. The Roman Catholic Latin Church Fathers, Tertullian (160-220 AD), Jerome (347-420 AD) and Augustine (354-430 AD), all strongly believed in the doctrine of hell. These early Latin Church Fathers are highly venerated Roman Catholic saints who believed that God’s punishment of unbelievers (all those who reject Roman Catholicism) would be in a hell of everlasting torment.

In 382 AD, Pope Damasus commissioned Jerome to make a revised translation of the Bible in Latin. Jerome, a Roman Catholic by birth, believed in the doctrine of hell and he produced the revised translation of the complete Bible in Latin known as the Latin Vulgate (circa 405 AD).

Jerome mistranslated and misinterpreted several key Hebrew and Greek words into the Latin Vulgate in support of the already established doctrine of hell in the Roman Catholic Church. We expose and highlight these translation and interpretation errors in the next two chapters, Chapters 16 and 17.

The Latin Vulgate became the official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church, and to this very day, it is regarded to be free from any doctrinal errors by the Roman Catholic Church. The Latin Vulgate reigned supreme for over a thousand years and the doctrine of hell became deeply entrenched into the psyche of the Christian world as if it were a true biblical doctrine. This was because of the complete dominance of the Roman Catholic Church throughout the Middle Ages, from the 5th to the 16th century.

From circa 590-1517 AD, the Roman Church reigned supreme and dominated the western world where it controlled religion, philosophy, morals, politics, the arts and education, and became a very wealthy institution. This was the dark ages for true Christianity. The vital doctrines of Biblical Christianity had, from all appearances, disappeared from the scene.

Finally someone that's got some tact and can speak without being a jerk. I get that we need to speak the word of God that's not an issue. But we can only do so much for someone. If they don't want to convert then that's now on their shoulders and not ours. At least we tried to be there for them.

To me the whole thing hinges upon the fact that God chooses us and He does so in His time. Spread the word do your part but learn when to let go if even for a little while,while the spirit works. This was a hard lesson for me because anybody with love in their heart does not wish to see anyone suffering the way separation causes. But it is an important lesson-spread the good news, then live it and let that example stand as you learn to trust and you learn to let things go.

If anyone truly knows me they know I am not a heartless person who wants people to suffer. Things don't normally bother me but when looking at my karmas it hit a nerve because I know where half the karmas came from. Anyways...life is to short to let it bother me. I've been to Hell, walked thru the blood, guts and burnt bodies of people fighting under the ideals of religion. Until you have, you don't know chit. I've seen woman and children hacked up because a church was being built and they helped. We couldn't get to a group of people in time in Africa, they chopped up while praying.

You walk in my shoes, you bare the road I have traveled. Then, come back and say, just have faith. I seen to much horror trying to do good.

Muslims don't call their god Allah as a personal name. It's Arabic for "God" and Christians and every other Arabic speaker uses the word to refer to God.

A lot of people foolishly think "Allah" is his name. It's just a title. It doesn't matter if you use God, Allah, Gott, Dios, Dieu, Deus, Dio, Mungu, or anything else. They all mean "God" and nothing more.

And, actually, they base their religion off Christianity and Judaism, so he is the same. They just have a different view of him. Just like if you had the same biological father as me, and I thought he was nice, but you thought he was mean. Same guy, but since nobody really knows anything about him, they try to figure out his "laws" and each person wrote down what they thought they saw as truth.

But they all saw a murderer, torturer, etc., interestingly enough. The only real difference in all this is in which group of people it's "fair" to kill and which isn't. Which group of people are the "chosen" and which aren't. Which group of people are the "slaves" and which aren't.

It's all essentially a child's game of "My daddy's better than yours and can kick your daddy's butt!" followed by "No way! My daddy's bigger and stronger!" followed by "Yeah?! Well, I'll get my brother, too!" ad infinitum with no clue what the hell anybody is actually arguing for.

Gotcha I was wondering about that. I never called him Allah but then again I am not a Muslim either. I have always been curious as to what other "bibles" were like, just to see how their views are than say America's. I had a friend tell me the other day I should read the Tora because that's what only matters really. Isn't the Tora the Old Testament in Hebrew?
