I have an alternative theory to the "ufo" theory if you'd be interested in hearing it. It deals with the blood moon tetrad, so if you're not familiar this might be a little hard to follow.
If you recall Ezekiel's 4-headed beast is a lot like the 4 beasts mentioned in the beginning of the book of Revelation, but with some notable differences:
And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man. 6 Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. 7 Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves’ feet. They sparkled like the color of burnished bronze. 8 The hands of a man were under their wings on their four sides; and each of the four had faces and wings. 9 Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward.
10 As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle. 11 Thus were their faces. Their wings stretched upward; two wings of each one touched one another, and two covered their bodies. 12 And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went.
13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning. 14 And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of lightning.
15 Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces. 16 The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17 When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. 18 As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them. 19 When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20 Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures[c] was in the wheels. 21 When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures[d] was in the wheels.
In the book of revelation it talks about the four living creatures (or beasts) each having 4 separate faces, but it doesn't mention the beryl wheels or the burnish color. It DOES however stipulate that the creatures in Revelation have six wings each.
Surprisingly there IS a celestial body that has four faces -- one facing Torus(the bull), one facing Leo(the lion), one facing the eagle at the center of the Galaxy(the name escapes me right now) and one face pointed at the Earth. It has six bright white "wings" that are covered in what appears to be eyes, and moves in a straight line though it actually moves on a wheel within a wheel.
The Moon. But to be more specific, the prophetic blood moons.
Moreover, if you designate the blood moon tetrad coming up AS the four living creatures spoken of in the book of revelation and as the sign Ezekiel saw in his vision, then you might also notice that in the up and coming tetrad there are exactly SIX full moons between each eclipse (or six wings covered in "eyes").
The burnish color Ezekiel spoke of (orange, like burning coals) is the exact color the moon turns when it is eclipsed. The "beryl" ring, or wheel within a wheel, the creature travels could arguably be it's orbital ring. After all, beryl comes in many colors, but the only property that is consistent is that it is usually a translucent stone.
The eyes could represent craters, or even simply mean it is seen by many.
Ezekiel said his creatures had 4 wings -- John said his creatures had six wings, if both are correct then you would have to assume that Ezekiel's prophetic tetrad only had 4 full moons in between them.
The creatures wings touch, just as the cycles of the full moon would touch, and though it travels in a ring, the creature always moves forward, which would seem almost impossible, unless you imagine watching the moon move in it's orbit, and then realize that from the earth it would appear to travel in a straight line, never turning it's face.
The only thing that concerns me about this theory is that the 4 living creatures mentioned in the book of Revelation have 4 SEPARATE faces. So, what does that mean? Before the end the moon stops being land locked? Possibly. Only time will tell, but the similarities are certainly striking.
Edit: Oh...and in most texts these creatures are refereed to as lesser angels or Cherubs. How often have we seen stars in the sky or shooting stars refereed to as Angels? If true it certainly would provide some interesting information on how God views the universe.
