Many prisoners find prison a place of security. Twins have often been considered magical, or cursed, so seeking an occult explanation would be tempting: [link to www.uptodate.com] Physical or emotional stress — A number of features of stress-induced cardiomyopathy, including its association with physical or emotional stress [4,5,7-10,18], suggest that this disorder may be caused by diffuse catecholamine-induced microvascular spasm or dysfunction, resulting in myocardial stunning [23], or by direct catecholamine-associated myocardial toxicity [24]. In some patients with stress-induced cardiomyopathy, the only apparent stressor is exposure to catecholamine or beta-agonist drugs in routine clinical doses [25]. (See "Clinical syndromes of stunned or hibernating myocardium".) Support for a possible pathogenic role for catecholamines comes from studies in which plasma catecholamines were measured at presentation [8,26-28]. Combining the results from these series, plasma norepinephrine levels were elevated in 26 of 35 patients (74 percent) [23]. Elevated catecholamine levels and reversible left ventricular ballooning have also been observed in a rat model of immobilization-induced stress [29]. |

I'd probably say no, just two different souls having the same exact human body. I heard another bizarre twin story where two identical twins were separated at birth and when the were reunited in their thirties they had like the same job, same car, smoked the same cigarettes and a bunch of other crazy "coincidences." Twins are for sure extremely interesting in their nature. |

Lancelot User ID: 17392071 Canada 09/09/2013 07:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Greetings! The subject of twins comes natural to me because I am an identical twin - 76 years old now. The soul connection is an obscure one for me and I don't see any deep-seated and well-defined connection although our likes and dislikes are quite the same and on the physical level it is a mirror image, namely that afflictions or circumstantial events such as scars, melanoma or pain happens on laterally different side. You see, my brother is left-handed and I am right-handed although he did not know that until a couple of years ago. All of his movements are acquired right-handed ones. Our interest are very similar and major life happenings such as marriages, divorces, residence and even phobias and dislikes are similar, to the point where I can read him like a book. DNA probably has much to do with this and I am convinced that, when one of us [ever] dies (smile), the other will not be far behind - it would just be predestined and that's fine with me. It is not a pretty world out there anyway and we both have lived a full life. You might enjoy an article I read recently - the story of the Russian conjoined twins Masha and Dasha: [link to learninggnm.com] - very interesting. Enjoy life - it is a wonderful experience! |

They love each other, but are anything but close. :( That said - I have certainly seen my share of things that cannot be explained . . . For instance, when they were about four yrs old - one of them came in from playing outside, almost hysterical and pointing to a place on her arm. I looked, but there was nothing there. A kiss and a bandaid, and all was well. A few mins later - the other one came to me from upstairs, wanted a drink. Dried Up Hag User ID: 1443836 United States 09/09/2013 09:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My twins are fraternal. They've always had a strong connection. In every way they are opposites. But their connection is undeniable. When they first learned to talk, the one spoke very clearly, and the other one could not be understood by anyone. We got into the habit of looking to his brother for interpretation whenever he spoke. Now, they are 6 yrs. and 9 mos. old and their spiritual and mental connection is as obvious as ever. Not too long ago one of them was talking to me about the other and he told me, "no one knows my brother like I do." When they talk of their future, it's always in terms of how they will be partners in whatever they do. They also know when the other is in trouble or is afraid, though they may be separated. I think that sharing the womb and the birth experience has a more profound impact on twins than we've ever been able to know. |

As for my 2cents on this story, they can be soulmate (2 diferent souls but they share A LOT in common, almost like they can think/feel both the same, OR,what I actually believe more, 2 aspects of one soul, making them in the spiritual world ONE entity. Their lesson maybe was to learn how to cope that kind of living in our material world, where is very hard to have material experience /existence. |

User ID: 46569750 Portugal 09/09/2013 09:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.iisis.net] "Introduction to Split Incarnation or Parallel Lives Reincarnation Cases in which Lifetimes Overlap by Walter Semkiw, MD Split Incarnation Defined Independently researched reincarnation cases, including many studied by Ian Stevenson, MD, demonstrate that a soul may animate more than one physical body at a time. Ian Stevenson called reincarnation cases in whIch lifetimes overlap as "cases with anomolous dates." I term this phenomenon as "split incarnation." I refer to two people who derive from the same soul, who are incarnate at the same time, as "splits". "Parallel lives" is an older term that has been used to describe the phenomenon of splits incarnated at the same time. A dramatic and compelling set of cases that illustrate split incarnation involve Penney Peirce. How does split incarnation work? Though we don't know for sure, we can imagine split incarnation as similar to how a mirror can split a beam of light into two or more beams of light. Similarly, the soul can project more than one beam of light or energy template into physical incarnation at a time. We can imagine two splits as two arms of a human being. Each arm has its separate existence, yet both arms are controlled by one brain or mind. In split incarnation, we can see two splits as two appendages of the soul. How many splits can a soul project onto the physical world at a time? As is discussed in the section, Soul Evolution, it is believed that the maximum number is about seven, though having this number of splits at the same time is rare."(...) |

Sorry to contradict you. If you are IDENTICAL twins, then one of you is right-handed and the other is left-handed because the single egg, in its first cell division, split into a right and left counterpart. It cannot be any other way. You can test this. Stand side-by side and, upon the command of someone else maybe, make one step forward. One of you will step forward with the right foot and the other with his left foot. Another way is to simply applaud. One twin will applaud with his right hand on top of the other hand and the other will have his left hand on top of his right hand. Please try it - and allow yourself to be surprised! |

They shared a knack for creative writing and wrote stories together. They were hospitalized for 14 years because of criminal behavior. But the most fascinating part of June and Jennifer's story is quoted below: (T)he girls had long had an agreement that if one died, the other must begin to speak and live a normal life. Quoting: [link to en.wikipedia.org] During their stay in the hospital, they began to believe that it was necessary for one twin to die, and after much discussion, Jennifer agreed to be the sacrifice. In March 1993, the twins were transferred from Broadmore to the more open Caswell Clinic in Bridgend, Wales; on arrival Jennifer could not be roused. She was taken to the hospital where she died soon after of acute myocarditis, a sudden inflammation of the heart. There was no evidence of drugs or poison in her system, and her death remains a mystery. On a visit a few days later, Wallace recounted that June "was in a strange mood. She said, 'I'm free at last, liberated, and at last Jennifer has given up her life for me.'" Do identical twins share a deep connection that persists throughout their lives? Are fraternal twins any different? In the case of June and Jennifer, did one soul inhabit two bodies, with one body eventually giving up its life-force to make the other "whole"? Was it all just coincidence? Are you a twin? Do you know any twins? Do you think identical twins have a different connection than fraternal twins? What are your thoughts about twins in general? Do they always have a special connection, or does it simply depend on the individuals involved, just like any other connection between people? I think it depends -- e.g., I knew a pair of identical twins that lived in my neighborhood and they were exact opposites in terms of personality. Yet, I encountered another set of ident twins in college and they seemed like they were linked together in some way. They did everything together -- and I never saw one without the other. In the first set -- they may have been linked -- but I think they may have set up personal "firewalls" to each other. So long story short I do believe that there is a special connection between ident twins -- but I also believe that connection can be broken.... |

He's been married once (to my mum) and she's on number 5 or 6. My dad had a great career and his own business but his sister has gone from job to job. At family get togethers she's always going on about her twin brother and how much she loves him, whilst my dad just cringes and tries to get away from her. My nan had 3 sets of fraternal twins because she produced an egg from each ovary every month. None of her children or grandchildren have had twins although it was expected that maybe the girls would have the same dual egg 'problem' as my nan. The middle set of twins were quite close but now they're in their 50s their lives have taken different paths. The youngest ones aren't close. |
