It was actually pretty well delivered from a technical point of view. He seemed sincere.

The only problem is he has to be either

1. totally disingenuous
2. or incredibly ignorant

I wouldn't be surprised if it is some combination of disingenuousness and a tiny bit of ignorance or self-delusion.

Also, he may actually be in a fairly closed off environment, getting info from people with motives to twist facts to meet a agenda.

Or hell, maybe he's just a psychopath. I don't think so though. It is weird. Must be a lot of pressure and competing powerful interests that a President has to navigate.

He seemed stressed, got himself caught in a little crossfire on this one!

he was calm and lucid as he laid out the evidence as he and the govt see it, is rightly outraged about sarin being used and is working with russia and the UN allies on the issue. they’re still looking at evidence and holding off a vote. seemed like easy common sense to me.

I think Presidents are forced into dishonesty.
In some cases lying might come naturally. In others, not.
Not sure what the case is with him. He's pretty good at saying things that aren't true though. I'll give him that.

An example of disingenuousness is his concern for the children.

Why wasn't he concerned about the children when the "rebels" used gas in May?

Why didn't we talk about the need to bomb them to enforce international norms?

Answer: Because we're funding and supporting them, that's why.

It has nothing to do with the children.

It was very supportful wasn't it. Unfortunately for him the supportful didn't support his case or his ratings.
