Really?! shoot me an email when you get here - I live in Haena, across from Tunnels.

If you can tell where this photo was taken from, you'll know where I'm at. ;)

Probably no worse civilized place than Hi to prep in, there is way too many people and there is an indigenous population with a hate for the white man or the oriental man both of which are seen as invaders.
The native culture has no kindness for the invader and tradition essentially places no limits on violence against them.
I don't think the natives will limit themselves to wood, stone or sharks teeth weapons this time.

I think it is funny how locals tell the white tourists that haole means white person, when it really means "no breath, no spirit"
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35058970

when the Hawaiians first saw whites they thought they were sickly because of their color , haole means sickly.
Here on the tourist side of the Big Island I haven't seen that many more people at the stores, same as always here

Wrong, traditionally locals as you refer to, shared "ha". They did this by touching foreheads, and sharing a breath. Because the non locals were on a boat for so long they stunk, and were not comfortable sharing "ha", therefore the locals could not do this, and named them breathless.....

Haole (pronounced HOW-leh) is a Hawaiian word for non-native, particularly white. Though it's been defined in various ways, one common definition takes its meaning from the contraction of these two words:
ha = breath or spirit, often interpreted to mean "the sacred breath of
life within us all," or "the spirit of the Creator that breathes life into all
living beings and joins us all as one."
ole = no, none, without, lacking.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31489784

To put a finer point on the phrase, a kahuna once explained to me that when the Christians landed and told them about their great religion of peace and love, the natives were enthralled and joined them in church for worship services. Much to their horror, the services did not begin with the ritual deep breathing that Hawaiians consider a sacred part of any ritual. Thus they named them "Haoles" or the people without breath.

Rev, what is the most interesting thing you found out from Gunther that you can share?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46571766

that the CIA Peruvian cocaine smuggling in the 80s was actually a cover for black market gold smuggling (later found out that it wasn't just any old gold but Templar gold)

and that the Hells Angels and Mafia work hand in hand with the CIA

Re: Hawaii Flooded With Tourists Right Now And It's Not High Season Or A Holiday
and it was crazy in the grocery store today - lines and people like the day before Thanksgiving

and the store had huge palets of food - frozen, fresh, canned, everything - clogging the aisles. I don't even know where they were going to put it all as all the shelves where fully stocked

I've never seen anything like it - and in the middle of the day

plus, the food barge only comes once a week to Kauai - on Thursday but this is Tuesday

did a bunch of people get the word to not be home for the 11th?
 Quoting: Rev StarGazer

What you are describing sounds like the "elite" are bugging out to their "safe" locations (bunkers?) in Kauai. Why do you think all of that bulk food has been shipped there, and ahead of the usual weekly delivery? It doesn't take much to connect the dots.

Unlike the false December 2012 predictions, we have a very real threat from "Comet" ISON and company. Don't believe NASA's bullshit that it is merely a dirty little snowball. The truth, in my opinion from all that I've read, is that this may well be an ELE (Extinction-Level Event).

Closest passage is as follows:
October 1st - Mars
November 28th - Sun
December 26th - Earth

On November 13-14, there is a national "drill" for the electrical grid going down.

You can bet that these "elite" are taking care of themselves, i.e., there is a reason why they are in Kauai at this time and why extra food is being made available.

The Hawaiian islands are supposed to rise in conjunction with any pole shift, so they are considered safe bugout areas.
Intuitively, I have always know this. Thanks for the confirmation

There is much more to say
, but I simply wanted to offer some explanation as to the influx of "elite" on Kauai. Please do your own Internet research, if you'd like to know more.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46681367

please tell us more.

mahalo Rev SG for the info on Kauai. and aloha pumehana, sista. busy here in O'ahu, too but that's s.o.p. tourism has been brisk.
what concerns me is the uptick in lowrider heli's over our neighborhood daily now....hmmm...wish I knew why.

WELL THEN WOULDN'T WANT TO BE ON AN ISLAND IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE IF A TSUNAMI HIT THE PACIFIC OR SOME OTHER RESIDUAL WAKE FROM ANOTHER.

A D.U.M.B IN HAWAII WOULD BE A REALLY DUMB PLACE TO BE IN THE EVENT OF A TSUNAMI BECAUSE NOTHING THAT BIG UNDER GROUND COULD BE 100% WATER PROOF.

A REAL DROWNING GAME IF YOU ASK ME BUT WHO THE HELL AM I ANYWAY? LOL

Not true, it's all in the attitude...every island we've been to the locals thought we were locals and even the ones that knew we were mainlanders treated us like we were local. Ever been to Kauai, know about the secret cave? I won't call it by it's real name out of respect but if you name it I'll call it. We had three different people tell us and show us where. Hawaii, away from Waikiki is amazing, Waikiki is Santa Monica on a good day.

Maybe you were just the "douchebag tourist" they decided to throw crap at eh?

and I paid attention to the type of tourists - 50s on up and many seemed to have the 'look' of retired military - one guy even had a hat jacket and shirt with embroidered official looking logos - got closer and it his shirt said "Counter Terrorism Training Instructor"

or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
