This is the OP here. -

To any of my friends still following this thread, I have noticed a trend here that I would like to discuss.

There is no place to escape to now. There is no sanctuary to hide in like a place in the country or trying to live like the Amish.

This coming change is all about YOU. Nothing else. You can't escape it, you can't hide from it, you can't run from it. Every fear, hang-up, fear and doubt will now be tested to it's limits. What is coming is all of your fears in your face.

All you can do is to stop searching, stop looking for relief from the suffering of the world and face them head-on.

Completely let go....

Only when you completely let go of EVERYTHING:

Buying things
Wanting things
Wanting to escape
Wanting to hide
Wanting to run
Wanting to be someone or somewhere else.
Wanting to be wealthy
Wanting to live somewhere else.
Wanting love, forgiveness, peace

You have to no longer "want". No matter what it may be.

Just my opinion. Your choice though.

Peace

Just so you understand. This is NOT about weakness.

This is about FINALLY accepting what you need to face like a warrior accepting battle. Without fear, without hate, without doubt, without desire.

Just ready to get on with it!

I have the desire to just be alone, to eat little, to ignore the madness around me.

And I am happy about it.

why is it bad or spiritually slow to aspire towards money?

money = control

is it bad to want control over life? not exactly the material things, but to an extent yes. if I have an extra $10k I can easily fix a flat tire, maybe buy some new cooking utensils and learn how to bake lasagna? I greatly appreciate OPs message and everyone in agreement but it also seems like there is a lot of bashing against those who might aspire towards power, control over the physical. through money or otherwise... is it really so bad?

I am NOT against money. Money is just a thing. A trading instrument.

The issue is about not buying things you don't need. It is about not being thrown off your path by things or by desires.

If you need something, like a pair of shoes, buy them. If you need a warm and dry place to sleep, then fine pay for it. If you need a job to pay for these things, then fine, work for them.

What I am trying to explain is gluttony in all it's forms.

Money never relieves suffering. It can make your life easier, but never better.

Peace

You want a purpose to life, one so glorious and simple, yet profound and lasting in it's results?

Help one person. It can even be your spouse. If you try to help more, often you will be unable to sustain enough energy for yourself and all, but helping one is possible.

Try this and see what becomes of your world.

Been out in the world and lived a very colorful life, chasing dreams and following ambitions. None of that matters to me at all anymore. There's really nothing "out there". Been on numerous adventures but now I just like being home and hanging with my boyfriend and daughter. I can't think of one thing that I would like to do or go. I just love reading my Bible. I even stopped kicking hackey sack...and I love to kick. Maybe it's a phase I'm going through.

I'm pretty close to that:

No house (rent a couch).

Never buy anything.

Work for myself.

No TV.

No music, except in the car sometimes.

No sex.

Few friends.

Actually, it kinda sucks.

I suffer hypnagogic sleep paralysis and have those 'temp change skin itch frustration" occasionally. I'm a very anxious person, but I hide it behind a dull face, or a fake smile. I seem to get bored a lot as life drifts past me.

I'm 23, male, paying a $500,000 mortgage by myself. I work nightshift, and I lack the motivation I once had. I seem to want to interact with more intelligent people, it seems that I sense someone's conversations logical conclusions based on their expressions and intent very shortly into the story/discussion. Some people just seem to do continuous loops and I find I'm either not going to waste my time or I seem to butt in and go beyond everyones narrow minded, unaware and their scope of mind. Their response is "you think too much... You need to stress less and enjoy life... but your 100% right". So if I seem to come to the inevitable conclusion with a straight forward very precise course of action needed to progress, I seem to be labelled as 'too serious', when really, I'm more calm, well spoken and very understanding.

Who am I to give advice too? I failed school, took some drugs, partied and gave no thought to life. I 'suddenly' changed... I hated to read, I hated school, I gave no fucks. 2 years ago something changed. I read, I write, I'm passionate in educating myself, hoping I'm contributing something positive.

I seem to question everything, intensely, painstakingly 24/7 that I find myself wondering about everything with a confused feeling that really, in the end, nothing matters, as there is a positive or negative response you learn carry on knowledge from either path. There's a balance, a collective origin, or an external observation by another individual that learns and influences that both forces need to exist for one to be distinguishable, we are in a "University"... A quantum state of being resembling a never ending fractal loop because in the moment we really "understand", as one, we choose to experience EVERYTHING again. You square root infinity and as you exist here, simply because its a possibility, you are also everything.

As you can maybe tell, I'm in a clear state of logical delusion. I have no sure answer just a hope, and a sense of intent.

The only thing to fear, is fear itself.
