Russian Meteor was a test of comet/meteor defence systems

What are the odds on the Russian meteor landing in one of the only places in the world where HD dash cams are common?

I propose this meteor was captured in space and controlled into a collision with Earth. In collaboration with the Russians.

Test defenses against such an impact for the upcoming comet(s) bombardment.

Prime the public with a safe event, to bridge the shock of a larger impact.

A missile or energy weapon was used on the meteor, as proven in the videos.
