Re: 1977 Southern Television Broadcast Interruption, Aliens or Hoax?
President Eisenhower turned down the Annunaki back in the 1950's for their offer of peace, prosperity and unlimited energy for the world in exchange for nuclear disarmament. He made that decision based on fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of vulnerabiility, fear of being conquered. Fear always holds you back, a person or a civilization does not progress or advance in fear. Love, compassion and cooperation is the only way we can all *win*
As for the message, it rings true and is just as relevant today as it was back then. But I do think more people are awake now, and maybe approaching a critical mass to move our societal complex to the next level.

Yes.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself..FDR

But it definetly rings true today as well.
I hope people are more awake now...sometimes it seems they are, sometimes not.

That wouldn't be the case now.

Back then, yes - hell of a risk for a ham operator to take. No doubt if he was caught, a large fine or prison would be the result.

So why do it?

If he couldn't tell anyone about it and enjoy the kudos of his fellow ham operators, what would be the point?

Oh yes you're right. It was aliens

Never say never.

I want to believe though. This is the kind of thing we all want to see in our lifetimes, either just like this or stuff along the lines of the opening episode of 'V', even if they're evil bastards like in 'V'.

lmao

It would be so cool, maybe it will happen one day.

OMG I forgot about that show. Creeped me out. I have never gotten good feeling about the potential of aliens but somewhere in my heart I hope there are good ones like there are good people.

Could be the fear of the unknown though.

Oh Gosh.... Galactic Command!!?? Did he fail to warn us of the evil emperor Zurg?

You people are so gullible? Did you also know that the word "Gullible" is not in the dictionary?

Go look it up an come back to report your findings.

The only question I have:

At that time, 1977, did the synthesizers already were out in commercial, or not. If we have question to that, we will know if the transmission was alien or not.

I always wondered that, but even so, if weren't commercial could still be under study or hidden technology, as we all know TPTB will just make public only obsolete (for them) technology.

Uhuh, and a machine called a 'vocoder'. Check out the band Kraftwerk for subtle usage contemporary with this. Phasing, reverb, subtle slowing of the recordingseem to be more likely to me though.
.

Sounds a bit 'voice of the Mysterons' to me. 'Ashtar Galactic Command'
sounds a bit L Ron Hubbardy; i.e bad science fiction !

Yes, isn't it just !
I just meant that L Ron was a comic book sic-fi writer at first, and so Scientology's narrative reads like one, cheesy ( if you've not read it yourself). I'm not a fan either- interesting story though, a guy that I knew 20 odd years ago went out of curiosity and was pronounced 'clear' ( of hangups) straight off the bat ( Madonna spent about 3 mil'!). They paraded him around at conferences..
Years later he was diagnosed to be a psychopath !

Hey I guess, good for him. I'm sure Madonna isn't crying about the 3 mil lost.
I've never read his sci-fi stuff. Maybe my thoughts of him got in the way. Doesn't surprise me he was labeled a psychopath. LOL.

I feel the same way about it. I'm going to try to research this further and if there are any other incidents like it.

If you want to check out something else interesting do a google search on "Black Knight Satellite"

I spoke to Richard Hoagland about this and he was baffled as well (go figure). I also exchanged a some email with John Lear about it and he didn't know much either.

Don't know if it is ours or "theirs".

What a bullshit new age message. They said "evolution" repeatedly and used many new age terms and warned against false prophets ironically as they were a prime example of just that. No mention of Jesus, only that you should evolve properly. What a galactic asswipe.

I still get a kick out of the folks who call bullshit on everything they cant wrap their minds around, as if to say no I don't or cant except any alternate view on subjects like extraterrestrial involvement. simple minds like to keep it simple.

Or conversely those who ignore a relatively simple explanation in preference of 'it was aliens"

I'm not sure on whether this is real or a hoax. I stumbled across this on you tube. I tried to copy the link to post here but it's not working. If I can get it to work I will post the video.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

A speaker interrupted transmissions for six minutes and claimed to be a representative of an "Intergalactic Association". Reports of the incident vary, some calling the speaker "Vrillon"[1] or "Gillon", others "Asteron".[2][3]

The voice, which was disguised and accompanied by a deep buzzing, broke into the broadcast of the local ITV station Southern Television, over-riding the UHF audio signal of the early-evening news being read by Andrew Gardner[citation needed] from ITN to warn viewers that "All your weapons of evil must be removed" and "You have but a short time to learn to live together in peace."

The interruption ceased shortly after the statement had been delivered, transmissions returning to normal shortly before the end of a Looney Tunes cartoon. Later in the evening, Southern Television apologised for what it described as "a breakthrough in sound" for some viewers. ITN also reported on the incident in its own late-evening Saturday bulletin.

The broadcast took over the sound only, leaving the video signal unaltered.

What IS interesting is the recording quality and reverb quality is not of it's time.

What I mean is it sounds like something recorded in a digital age not 1977, when the apology comes in it is a great difference in recording quality from the speech.

When I listened to just the audio before I thought it must have been a recreation because it sounded digital, but alas that is the official recording and the apology can be heard so that really confused me.

Also to break the signal would take someone with incredible technical know-how. It would have had to have been pre-recorded in a professional major studio by the sounds of it too if it was a hoax. For what, just a hoax to have a laugh? No one could have done it alone. Someone involved would have spoken out by now. So this makes me very curious.

Well it was funny, The Age Of Aquarius, that being something made up on earth! So, it came from earth.

Had a break in on my TV show one time, looked like a Monty From Canada, said "hold you children close they want to use them for body parts." Then he was gone, no one said anything about the guy, he had a plain back ground behind him.

Didn't know what to think about it. I always kept my children close.
