Critical mass bicyclist are assholes!

Yes I am a serious over 50 female cyclist who uses bike and bike trails to pick up a few groceries....go to the library....etc.... I do not support the critical mass movement even though I am benefiting from tax dollars used to put in the bike lanes. I think some cyclists are suicidal the way they flout the law and enrage moterists. They also wiz by and force people like me out into traffic or into a ditch since we are proceeding at a safe legal speed. I have started to "hold my ground " rather them risk my life. These trails are to be used for real transportation and not to terrorize citizens. They are also giving the rest of cyclists a bad reputation. Sometimes when I am forced to merge into traffic for very short periods (as traffic laws require) motorsts freak out expecting bad behavior and put themselves and me at great risk. There needs to be some kind of traffic school.or license for cyclists. Also cops meet to patrol and write a few tickets.

I was a professional driver for 10 years, and I can honestly say, 95% of you idiots have no business driving a car.

Share the road. Just because you're in your shitty car does not mean you are superior or have more rights than bicyclists.

The theory behind critical mass is that car drivers are like the dinosaurs. Cars are going to die out. We need to stop driving and using fossil fuels to survive on this planet.

A 'critical mass' is a group of people whose numbers have reached that critical number where new ideas/consciousness start to spread like waves to the entire populace.

So the cycling critical mass hold demonstrations taking over traffic to 1 show car drivers that their days are numbered, 2 to show others that cycling is growing in popularity 3 that people riding care about the environment/planet by cycling instead of driving, and they are hoping others will start caring too.

And that one car showed that the bike is slow, outmoded, and easily over-taken by the Road Warrior.

I have been living in one of the largest cities in the world for over 50 years and there is no sign that cars dieing out any time soon. In fact there are way more cars then less.
I have no issues with the bicycle. And if a bicycle is a practical alternative for a car for some people then more power to them!!

But the truth is bicycles are not a piratical alternative to a car for most people.

By the way, petroleum is an ingredient that is required in almost every product we use to function in society. It ain't going away any time soon!

Critical Mass needs to organize their rides to be civilized and respectable.

They are brainwashed slaves to the bullshit green agenda!

I just renewed my driver's license in Michigan and apparently you are not share the road with cyclists, joggers, walkers, or any pedestrians as they have a right not only to use the road but the absolute right of way and it is not just basic "courtesy" but the actual law.

Yet what do i see all the time:

people speeding in cars
people rolling through stop signs in cars
people throwing trash out of cars
people not stopping their cars before the crosswalk
people not yielding the right of way to pedestrians
people playing with their cell phones while driving

Basically, most people are not responsible, courteous or even law-abiding enough to operate something as dangerous as a car...

Yet, like typical jackasses, they brazenly ignore the law that they have to share the road and they complain about everyone else being rude and wasting a few seconds of their precious life.

Fortunately I only have a 3 mile work commute and drive less than 30 miles per week because I can assure you that driving absolutely sucks. So many rules and regulations, you've got to have a license card, license plate, tags on the plate, registration, title, insurance and proof thereof, you have to pay for gas, for insurance, for maintenance...

I can understand why people that have to drive to travel long distances are so miserable, because it is NO FUN. (This is coming from someone that drives a late 90s honda civic that drives like a freaking go-kart.) But that is no reason to take it out on other people that have a right to the road. Stop projecting the anger you have about driving and probably the rest of your shitty life onto others that are enjoying their lives.

Drivers are assholes.

What does critical mass mean in this context?

Was they guy filming with a phone while asking other people if they had called for help?
