I had dreams back in February and part of it was a map with outlined coastlines from florida to DC. A voice said to me florida to DC to Iran. It made sure to emphasize south to north.

Regarding the late night lightning - I saw exactly the same thing up here in Ottawa, Canada. Late at night, no clouds, no moon, but, from all sides, there appeared light flashes, not too bright, and you couldn't pin point exactly where they were coming from. It was not the aurora!!!

The light flashes lasted longer than 1/2 hour. Got my daughter out at 12:30 p.m. and she was somewhat frighted by it. It was somewhat as if an explosion happened beyond the horizon, but the flash is still visible.

Really, really weird, and I live in the country.

This is the OP. My desktop computer got banned from GLP and I don't have the patience to use my phone. I've probably given as much info on this as I can anyway so its ok. Your guess is as good as mine on what this is.
