HE just did. I once had a sleep paralysis but that was after a dream I had. I dreamed I was outside in my backyard reading the Bible but in a dark tongue I did not know. I woke up compulsing but couldn't get out of bed. I felt a really heavy dark presence around me and in my heart. I only closed my eyes and prayed until the sun rose up.
Im 17.
 Quoting: FireStorm007 46435891

If you didn't know the 'tongue', how did you know it was 'dark?'

I suspect you're a Bible-Tard, and anything that is different or too difficult to explain, you call 'dark' or 'evil.'

This explains why Bible-tards hate 'Evolution' and 'science.'

It's just too difficult for the Bible-Tard to understand...............

I commented on this post a couple nights ago. I had one of my few & far between experiences, lastnight (I almost feel this thread, booked me an appointment).

I'm kind of kicking myself for thinking "no" too quickly. I was very scared by what I saw & thought "no". I was released instantly. In hindsight, what I saw was very beautiful & for the fact I was released so quickly on my own command- it can't be bad for me. I can't shake it from my memory, this morning- I had to post.

For those that recommend calling upon Jesus: do what makes you feel comfortable. Please know that I have tried it, and it has never ever worked. Never. A definitive "no", is the only thing that has ever worked for me.

After lastnight, I'm going to wait through my fear before I say no again.

Re: My Sleep Paralysis and Experiences (please share if you have some as well!)
I have also had sleep paralysis the majority of my life and it has been mostly bad experiences; however I happen to be into the new age stuff and i did some research and found the benefits of sungazing to be rewarding. More rewarding in the spiritual plane than anywhere else, and one night after a relatively light bout of sleep paralysis, i opened my eyes and entered a vortex. This vortex then shot me straight out and into the cosmos which i didnt recollect until about 5 hours into the work day. Let me tell you, when i recollected what had happened the night before, i was overcome with the most overwhelming sense of joy, euphoria, relief, and unbridled happiness. I saw colors that dont exist in this plane, shapes that dont exist, i traveled the universe and it was absolute bliss. I can attribute this happening to the spirituality and reality of the nature of things that was awoken within me from staring at the sun, for sometimes at 45 minutes at a time. I've heard its starting to get dangerous now to look at it, so i cant advise you to do so, all i know is that light, when then the ozone and other things are working properly, is a communicator of supreme knowledge. God bless you all.

It's often accompanied by a vibration or buzzing in the head.
 Quoting: Lumen

bump

I have had many similar instances like this.

My sleep paralysis has happened since I was a child. I tend to go through phases of it when it is worse than others. I will wake up and can not move my body. I will know I am awake and there in my room, sometimes it feels like something else is present and other times it does not. Many many of the times I am tingling all over but CAN NOT move. Panic sets in and then I realize what is going on and I can pull myself back into body.

I can remember in high school actually being VERY embarrassed but I would go down to my parents room because I would SWEAR something was in the room with me (yes some people can call this crazy).

Over time I talked to a few people about it and learned to try to visualize pulling myself back into my body through my toes. This seems to work pretty well for me.

One thing I have noticed is when I sleep in the same bed as my boyfriend it does not happen, but if he goes out of town it will occasionally happen. This is something I have only noticed over the last year or so as I have had someone in proximity of me sleeping.

Who knows what causes it? I have noticed triggers such as certain medication (don't take any kinds of pharmaceuticals now) and I've often wondered if its just a disconnect from the astral plane to our body where we are kind of stuck in limbo. It can totally freak you out though when you are almost looking down at your body but can't move it.

Look forward to hearing more insight from others!

Re: My Sleep Paralysis and Experiences (please share if you have some as well!)
I've had many of these, they really are terrifying. You scream as loud as you can, nothing. See your room and everything in it, but can't move. Of course what makes it terrifying is that there is usually "the presence" of an evil spirit 99% of the time for people who experience this.

Had many accounts, and screaming for the Lord to help me is the only thing I do. Whether shouting His name works or not, He's my comfort and cry of help. Usually after I do scream for Him, it takes a couple minutes for it to end. At the point when I wake up I'm scared to go back to sleep for 5 minutes or so.

Some of these experiences would happen with the touch of hellish dreams of my skin being ripped off my body, construction staples being put through all my fingers, really really demonic stuff. Worst thing is it feels like real life, really really bad pain.

On those nights, I would wake up and force myself to stay awake for an hour or two to try and help to not have another one that night.

Really? How do you know it's pointless? I can honestly say from personal experience that calling on Jesus works during sleep paralysis. There are ways for secular humanists and atheists to explain this away, but it actually works. So take my advice and stop commenting about things you don't understand.

Re: My Sleep Paralysis and Experiences (please share if you have some as well!)
So I've had "sleep paralysis" for as long as I can remember. Most of the time it's me "awake" in my body not able to move. I would freak out and do the silent scream and eventually regain control of my limbs.

As It happened more I got more used to it and let it last longer.

After high school it stopped completely except for two other experiences which I wanted to share with some people.

1st. This was my first sleep paralysis that I can recall and the most vivid. I was under 7 years old and had just been put under anesthetic for the first time for tooth removal. That night I was lying in my mothers bed relaxing and passed out.

I awoke to "shadow" figures all on the side of me, my hands were pinned down and I couldn't scream. But I remember picking my chest up off the bed even though I was still pinned @ the arms. Eventually everything gave out and I was free. I ran crying into my mothers arms trying to explain what happened, got passed as a night mare.

after that I would get the paralysis quite often almost nightly, but never shadow figures or being pinned down.

2. About 4 years ago (and 3 years since I stopped having paralysis) I woke up in my bed. I had the tv on still and a pillow slightly covering my face. I woke up to feel a heavy, heavy pressure on my chest as if something was sitting on me.

There was an instant fear in my head that told me I did not want to move the pillow. I started to freak out as it became more intense and I swear on my life that I heard a growl. I was freaking and start of repeating in my head "im not afraid of you sick fuck", eventually it disappeared. Everything was extremely vivid in my head, I swore it happened but still don't know what it was.

3. This was about 3 weeks ago I was sleeping in my hotel room while my GF was taking pictures for a wedding we were attending. Once again I woke up in sleep paralysis, I heard the hotel door open and some shuffling. In my head I was okay, the GF must of come back early, I was still half asleep. I even heard it get close to the foot of the bed, TAP MY FEET. Then a few seconds later I have the pressure on my chest again and my wrists like Im being pinned down again.

This time I immediately in my head was like, "okay, get off of me I am not afraid." I literally was thinking the words "happy thoughts" anything positive and eventually the pressure disapeared and no growl this time. I wasn't nearly as afraid cause I had experienced before and every time nothing damaging happens. But the fear is always there initially.

So I came here to see if anyone else had these experiences, remedies, explanations, thoughts, phone numbers for a psychiatrist? lol

Really just curious to see what other people have to say about this.

Thanks guys.
 Quoting: chazbone

Here's one for you.

Twenty years ago I was taking a nap in the afternoon. I slept for awhile and then opened my eyes. I could see everything clearly in my room, but I couldn't move. I felt fear and sensed a demonic presense behind me as I lay on my side. I struggled to rebuke whatever it was that held me, but I couldn't even move my mouth at first. I began to float above my bed, maybe six inches before I said a prayer in my head. My mouth was then free enough to slowly say, "In the name of Jesus, leave me alone." Immediately, I fell back into my bed and the evil presence left. But I was still partially paralyized. Foolishly, I slowly whispered, "Yeah, f*ck you." Suddenly, there was a hot breath on the back of my neck and a deep, growly voice that said, "No, f*ck YOU." I immediatel woke up in a sweat and prayed for quite a awhile.

I've had other sleep paralysis experiences, mosly when I was younger. I've only had a few in the last ten years, and only one during the last 4 or 5.

Silly kids, sleep paralysis.

That's not a demon sitting on your chest. If you meditate long enough you'd know that eventually your body goes to "sleep" and the heavy feeling is much like a lead blanket.

It is the precursor to an obe. Sure you might've been spooked by an etheric entity or two but believe me ain't shit to be worried about.

Stay in this state long enough and you WILL have an OBE.

Enjoy.

My god.... listen to yourself.... if only there were a way i could take your religious glasses off so you could see how stupid that post was. In a dream state, your mind controls everything. Your emotions influence everything. Fear, creates things that are scary. Have no fear, scary things will stop happening. Lucid dreaming is a technique for people to stop having nightmares. Sleep Paralysis is the same as a lucid dream except you are awake in the real world as well as dreaming at the same time. If you wish for something to appear, it will appear. If you wish for jesus to help you, the dream will obey you and whatever you wanted, will happen.

it also has worked for me but not always, ive had a bible at the bottom of the bed and still had attacks, im not religious but i think when youre faced with something looking demonic then you naturally think of god/jesus to help. im fully aware alot of the times when it happens sometimes i can talk clearly, i also reply to my mrs during the attacks when she calls my name. other times i try to pray but the words dont come out properly.

it also has worked for me but not always, ive had a bible at the bottom of the bed and still had attacks, im not religious but i think when youre faced with something looking demonic then you naturally think of god/jesus to help. im fully aware alot of the times when it happens sometimes i can talk clearly, i also reply to my mrs during the attacks when she calls my name. other times i try to pray but the words dont come out properly.

Ive learn the LORDS PRAYER and that helped I know were your coming from . One day I was in my sleep and floated around the room and I started praying and a frighting voice said (you fool)

Call on Jesus to rebuke the encounter.

don't give people pointless uneducated advice please.

This works for me and its not pointless sir ! I use to have these often and never believed in GOD . Now I do and Sleep with a bible under my mattress and this has not recurred. So I think your the one with a pointless and uneducated advise.

Again this worked for me !

i think pointless was the wrong word, because it does and does not work... it works in the sense that yes whatever you want to happen will happen, but it does not work in the sense that you are actually getting help from jesus, you could pray to anyone or anything to help you and it will since it is just a dream.

has anyone else been able to talk and respond to their partner during sleep paralysis, i find it odd that i can sometimes talk and hear and reply to my mrs when she speaks to me? . even if im half asleep i respond to her instantly, i feel its more of a trance that im in. its a weird disorder alright lol.

Re: My Sleep Paralysis and Experiences (please share if you have some as well!)
All this is caused from sleep apnea.

I have since I was a child didn't episodes of paralysis, taking a nap then trying to wake up but couldn't, my mind was awake but my body was locked down. (this is natures way of protecting you so when you dream you don't physically act out what is happening to you in your dreams).

In the past I have woken up standing in a different area of the house.

I have needed LOTS of naps in my life.

I have hallucinated horrible beings who where trying to kill me or molest me, I could actually SEE THEM standing around my bed.

I would wake up screaming, arousing my husband of course having to yell at me to wake up wake up.

Finally one event drove me to the doctor with the symptoms.

I died in my sleep. I left my body, and I went to heaven. Yes, I'm a Christian and I saw heaven before me. It was amazing, it felt amazing (the pain of living in a body was released and it was awesome), I didn't want to return. There are other details I could explain about this place but its not about that. Just believe me, it wasn't a dream, a night terror or a hallucination.

I was sent back into my body, and dove into a huge body of water, down to the bottom of the water and then struggling to swim to the top, I could barely make it back, I was not breathing and I needed to breath.
When I broke to the top of the water, my body BREATHED, and I had been holding my breath for so long I heaved and cried and shuddered from the whole thing.

I told the doc and he set up a sleep study.

I was told I had the worst apnea where you stop breathing during REM sleep. This would account for the hallulcinations of demons, because that is the sleep that you release all your psychotic paranoi events so you are sane during your awake time. Therefore I would stop breathing during a terrible nightmare/dream and would wake myself up to breath, but the 'awake' period was not lucid like your are awake during the day, its just a different state of consciousness that is not 'dead asleep'. Therefore I was bringing the NIGHTMARE to life which usually included horrible demon like men or monsters standing in my room or in the house somewhere who had intent to kill me.

Once I received my cpap machine, and I use it every night.

I no longer have nightmares.
I no longer am tired, have more energy then ever in my life.
I no longer need naps.
I no longer snore.
I no longer wake up my husband screaming or see things.

Although I waited to long to get help I pushed my health into dire consequences which included diabetes 2, hyptertention, high cholesterol. The doc said that the sleep apnea can lead to these things happening or pushing my body into that state sooner then it would have happened with age. I may have not gotten those things until much later in life (or at all) if I had dealt with the sleep apnea 10 or 15 years earlier. I'm not sure they had the realization of the problem or the solution for it like they have now.

Seek help from a doctor who will send you for a sleep study.
You may not be fully diagnosed with sleep apnea yet, but I bet your 'headed there'.

Losing weight, not drinking caffeine, going to bed and waking up the same time every day, sleeping with a fan near your face, not taking naps, getting regular exercise, eating a healthy diet, drinking lots of water (but not just before bed), can all help you.

In my case, both my parents have sleep apnea, I was doomed.

trust me, it was a dream. what you saw would have looked completely different to what everyone else seen when they think they went to heaven

Re: My Sleep Paralysis and Experiences (please share if you have some as well!)
My wife heard the growl and felt its breath in her last attack. She woke up terrified. She has been severly attacked throughout her life but she never told me anything out of fear that i would think she was crazy. I starded to ask her about her past and found out her grandmother was into occult things. My wife was into the oiuja board, and tarot cards, but nothing as crazy as her grandmother.

I have also experienced these attacks, but had not seen anything until a month ago. When I woke up, I was paralysed and I saw this black cloud lift off my feet and move to the top of the room. The dark cloud looked misty and it had these trailing arms that were sucked in to the center. When it dissapeared, it took a few seconds and I was able to move again.

These things are evil, Why else would they play these little games to intimidate and paralyze us? I belived its actual entities, because of the amount of people that report seeing the same things all over the world. I dont believe its our bodies malfunctioning, or a chemical in our body that paralyses us. If it were a chemical, then if someone abruptly awakes you, we would be paralysed for a few moments while the effects of the chemical fades away, but that doesnt happen.

My adviced to you is to be careful with psychiatry. If you study its roots youll find that many of its heavy hitters have also been into occult stuff.
