Diversity of near death experiences makes me wonder.
Okay, last few years I have read plenty of near death experiences. How come near death experiences differ so much.
Some meet light being, some meet mohammed, some Jesus, some Buddha..Seems like each person has unique experience depending on their belief system and cultural background...
Tumbling, burning with white-hot fire, I plunged into the depths of the abyss. Unspeakable pain... relentless agony... ... time ceased to exist... ... only this torture... and a deepening hatred of the hypocrisy that damned me to this hell.

Re: Diversity of near death experiences makes me wonder.
It doesn't surprise me. Think of the diversity of our current lives and experiences and the people we know, and the many different groups and organizations we are involved in. When we go to the afterlife we find that same diversity. The afterlife is NOT just one identical place. It is huge and varied and has many different heavens with different beliefs. You don't lose your beliefs when you die. You are guided to and attracted to a heaven that has people and beliefs that are the same or similar to your own.

What you need to find is a scenario where the being says "Hi, I'm Jesus (or whoever)". In what I've read it seems to be all interpretation.

So why "no corrections?" Do you realize the confusion (and dismissal) level that would pop up here if every religious belief was said to be wrong? People would freak.

The bottom line is that is makes no difference what you believe to be true - it will all be straightened out eventually.

Re: Diversity of near death experiences makes me wonder.
Our religious beliefs are important for helping us to understand that there is another level of reality than only what we can see, hear, touch, etc. Knowing or being aware of that other reality helps to develop the spirit body that we will be using in the afterlife. The larger and more developed that your spirit body is, the higher heaven you can go to immediately after death. But whatever level or heaven you arrive at in the afterlife, it is only the start of where you can eventually go since learning and growing and graduating doesn't stop. It starts here and continues on indefinitely in the afterlife.

Research the near death experiences of Muslims.

Many are seeing Jesus and not Muhammad.

Also Muslims, don't believe Jesus ever died for our sins, or was ever crucified.

However some Muslims, still saw Jesus with crucifixion wounds.

Also, my mom a theravada Buddhist, stated she had dreams of Jesus, and also prayed for help during a sleep paralysis. She stated, Jesus came to her, and the paralysis ended.
