Not really. Russia is a second-rate economy with a GDP per capita just one fourth that of the US, and is sliding toward recession. The transition to post-Soviet government was manipulated by the socialist elites who held onto both their fortunes and their grip on the reigns of power; the average Russian moved from living in the 1940s to living in the 1970s by modern western standards. The military, while vast, is mostly antiquated, and best suited to the mass-murder of their own populations. The majority of the population still has a Soviet police state mentality, making them suitable to being controlled by the most ham-fisted autocrats.

That being said, I'd be more than happy to send them Obama and Kerry. Lumbering, dog-faced former socialists can work reasonably well as leaders in Russla, so I see no reason why limp-wristed cakeboys and treasonous gigolos shouldn't too.
