gospel tracts-do they work?
I have a new little "ministry"..

Our local newspaper prints addresses of people that are arrested each week..I've been sending gospel tracts to these addresses. Maybe in their lowest hour, it will help them look up to the Savior. Will it work? I don't know, but even if one responds, it would be worth it..

I wonder how many Christians are on this board. What if we each sent out a hundred tracts to people we know aren't Christian? That's a lot of witnessing..

Below is the link to a site where you can get them..you can even read them to see which ones you want to send..I'm sure there are other sites too..

Re: gospel tracts-do they work?
I have been using Chick tracts for years. I was not sure about them until a co-worker told me that they were the reason for his Salvation. I place them at gas pumps, ATM's, bus stops, etc. places were people stop for a while. I would pass them out to people but most will not take them thinking they are from JW's.

Don't get those fake $20 ones. I think they just piss people off and they won't read them.

It's empty words on a piece of paper.

A few gullible people, with low self-esteem, may fall for it, but the smart ones won't.

The Church, like a vampire, prays on these poor people. It tries to get them at their lowest point, when they are at their weakest.

In this aspect, the Church is like a parasite / virus hybrid. It takes a weak person, infects that person with its poison and then corrupts and destroys them, BUT, like the parasite, it keeps its host alive, in the hope of further spreading its disease to other non-infected people.

Hope this helps!

Oh, I'm really sorry!

When did you have the terrible accident?

How much of your brain did they have to remove?

I'm guessing 90%.

Am I right?

Faith is shown by works...and handing out a piece of paper is not what the bible is talking about. I spent several months handing out tracks on Hollywood Blvd. over 20 years ago. It wasn't until I began to spend time with the street kids and others and getting to know them that I was able to really help them. Some needed shoes, a girl needed diapers for her baby, and one night a guy was sick with the flu or a cold. We bought him some food, cough syrup and a warm blanket.

Do good to those in need. Then you won't have to tell them about religion. BTW...I no longer believe in God the way I did back then.

Re: gospel tracts-do they work?
You can present tracts to people, but then the Holy Spirit
has to take over.

Whether you have presented the gospel or preached a
street sermon or handed out a tract,
you are fulfilling the Great Commission.

Whether they receive the message with gladness or not
is out of your control. Sow the seed and pray the Lord
will bring a harvest.

Remember the parable of the sower.
Don't be discouraged.
Without Him we can do nothing.

Good works are fine, but the soul is INFINITELY more
important than the body.
That is why the Great Commission is NOT,
Go ye into all the world and feed the poor,
house the homeless, shoe the barefeet, etc...

All those things come AFTER you have performed
the REAL Great Commission.
You can feed and house everybody on the planet
and if they all go straight to hell,
it was all for nothing.

All that matters is people find their faith in themselves and others, pass that love on and help each other out. I don't believe that there is much to it other than that.

Gospel tracks work...but so would a good joke and a chat.

All that matters is that people find faith in the finished work of
Jesus Christ on Calvary.

If you leave this world without that, it would be better for you
if you had never been born.

Church is only there till you really need them.....or it or whatever

There is no lake of fire. Its in your mind. Read Barry Eaton, Read Silver Birch, Read Dr Michael Newton, Read Dr Brian Weiss.

You go every day worrying if you or others are going to heaven or saved. You missed the whole game.

Jesus said love God.

If you look at the cherished religious mystery Eceenes made up Jesus. oops

You have judged everyone here that dosent agree with your religion. Kind of like the American Indians or the Nigerians who name theirselves and children, "Inthenameoftheholyspirit Holybeeveryday these are good christian names. Silly

Earth is a vacation planet. You just have4 to be smart enough to pull the levers your self or have someone tell you what will happen if you were to pull it.

Like I said b4 you have the right heart. Manley P Hall hurt too much to listen to or read huh?

I suppose leaving those little tracts that basically say "Bow to THIS god or he will TORTURE you forever" really spreads mercy and grace..

Living Waters (Ray Comfort's ministry) has the best tracts ever. Very eye-catching and great topics.
