For a couple of years now I stopped eating shrimp after I read about little boys forced to work as slaves in the shrimp industry in the Vietnam /Thailand region forced to harvest the shrimp in harsh conditions .

Not at all. Those people would have no job at all if the 2 dollar a day job wasn't available. Yeah its a shitty deal for some, but it is what it is. They can make 2 bucks a day in a factory or 2 bucks a day in a farm field or chose not to work. That's it, no other options for them.

They make more like $10 a day and get free room and board. They are able to send money home to feed their families. I've been there. Some of the dorms are pretty nice with rec rooms. It can be better than living in poverty in the US.
