Wow, you are pretty heartless. Did you not read that she's already called around and gone to the authorities? It's dark out right now--not like she can drive around and just spot him at this hour. Please don't comment if all you have to share is judgment. I somehow doubt you would fair any better given this woman's circumstances.

I hope the best for you geo. I always want to believe that when my kids get older that there will be less worry with them being on their own. It must be very hard on you. I'm not sure how I would hold it together, but you sound like a strong parent doing the best you can. Good luck!!!

Yes, that's what I want to know as well.

Some practical things to do:

Collect together some of his medical records to provide Sheriff's Dept with evidence that he is indeed developmentally disabled. That could make a difference whether they treat his as a misbehaving manchild, or an endangered young person. Make a list of any medications he may be taking.

Contact parents of teens he hangs out with.

Contact his school counsellor.

Print up flyers with his picture and distribute them to the managers of local stores, gas stations, any place he or his friends might frequent. Also take them to places he would not normally frequent like liquor stores and bars on the off chance a group of kids either tried to get him in or got him in there.

If you have Neighborhood Watch groups in your area, contact all of them.

As fr as the idiots making cruel comments,she is doing all she can right now.It doesn't make sense to leave and look for him while it's dark,on barely enough gas to get her to the end of the road,when he may return,while she is out.She know she can come here and reach out for prayers and support.
