Because, in America, for instance, you would simply not be allowed to stone a disobedient child to death. So... unless you've gotten really clever with the definition of disobedience... In which case, there's STILL the necessity of handing your offerings to Levitical priests at the Jerusalem Temple...

Doesn't the Talmud say you need to be IN Jerusalem, like the Law of Moses says you do? Perhaps that's why you're being persecuted? There is no way for your law to be at peace with the laws of the nations in which you choose to live.
