The next time-frame is 9:40 to 9:50

9:41 am is when the first officer arrived. According to police reports the shooter took his life upon hearing the police arrive. We will delve into the facts and try to determine if this is really the case. We will examine the response time and actions taken to secure the area. The EMS response time will also be examined. This is going to get interesting.....

Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT
If he saw the black jackets strewn around the black Honda with all the car doors open wouldn't she also hear gunfire and notice the broken glass near the door and then call 911?

I still think the 911 caller could be the late arriving teacher.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31483651

One 911 caller appears to be the parent who arrived after the school doors had been locked--she was waiting, along with another mom, to be buzzed in, noticed the car and jackets, noticed the glass, then heard shooting, called 911, and ran with the other mom behind a dumpster.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47081357

Waiting to be buzzed in? If the shooter blasted his way in I would think there would be an entrance now. You would notice more than a " little glass"

Did you watch the interview with her and her husband? At first, I thought they were fairly believable, but the more I watched it, the less I believed. Especially her husband! He was so vague about everything regarding who went into the school, and who came out. And of course the person interviewing them (which I think was Katie Couric) didn't seek clarification for anything.

I can't even think about this case anymore because it's like even the minutest of details is probably nothing but a lie. It's exhausting.

Ahem....

By the way I am really pulling the stops out embellishing in this story because there is no verifiable proof of anything so we are going on hearsay.

So we will go with 2 interviews with her.

[link to newsfeed.time.com]

"The instant Sibley heard the gunfire, she ran for cover, sprinting across the parking lot to where dumpsters stood, hiding there while the carnage took place."

later in the article

"When sirens blared in the background, Sibley knew help was on the way. Firetrucks from the station down the block pulled up and, when the authorities gave a signal to Sibley and the other moms hiding out with her, the women ran, keeping low, to a shielding fire truck as an officer covered them with his weapon. About 10 or 15 minutes later, authorities started to release students one class at a time

Never mentions her calling 911.

First dispatch was at 9:36. Officers were on scene about three min later.

From the sound of the audio, officers may have shot one or more shooters; or may have shot one shooter twice (or again, after he'd shot himself).

They say, "One suspect down." Then someone yells "CLEAR!!" followed a few seconds later, "We have as suspect down."

That is very indicative of an officer takedown, whether it's of the first shooter (who starts to get back up and is hit a second time) or whether there was a second shooter they shot as well.

She ran into another mom at the front entrance, where visitors had to be buzzed in. That's when it became clear something was amiss: the window next to the door had been shattered. "There was glass everywhere," she says. "And that's when we heard gunfire."

Nutjobs, all of them.

The father never said why he went into the school. He didn't say his position, and Katie never asked. This man supposedly went into the school, and this is all Katie got from him. She asked him when he knew it was a recovery and not a rescue mission.

"Those men and women from the state and from the town and local law enforcement holding their ground at the front of the building when he came over. He had a tear in his eye."

What kind of garbled response is that? Who was "he," the man with the tear in his eye?!

This is why I don't believe any of it. You have a man who supposedly went into the school, and you get nothing from him? You ask him zero pertinent questions? Ugh. Stop me. I'm just gonna get all worked about this again. LoL

They were just wondering what that meant, and then heard shooting begin. Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT
That's why dispatch says, "Okay, the front glass has been broken out of the building--they're unsure why."

The people reporting this are obviously standing outside the school, because they say "broken out of the building" (which no one would probably know who was hiding under a desk in an office), and because they say they're "unsure why".

No one in the meeting room knew glass was broken out of the building, because of the three who ran out of the meeting room into the hallway, two were killed and one barely made it back inside the meeting room.

So, the call had to come from the two moms outside the front door.

Now, Gene Rosen said he heard shooting at 9:15. The two moms may well have heard the shots fired into the classrooms, minutes after the shooters had already killed adult staff, and after the shooters had run back to the music room to "pound on the door," apparently desperate to enter the music room.

Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT
So the real story is probably something like:

9:15 a.m. Shooters begin shooting up the parking lot, and possibly the front glass of school

9:15-9:30 a.m. Shooters continue doing whatever it is that really happened--targeting and executing specific teachers with handguns, who knows.

9:35 a.m. Moms arrive, hear silence and then gunfire, and call 911

9:36 a.m. First dispatch goes out

9:39 a.m. First police arrive

9:40 a.m. Last reported shots fired in front of the building: "...maybe [from] the roof!"

9:41:29 a.m. One suspect proned out

9:41: 36 a.m. Kullgren tells Riverside units to be aware that there is a suspected getaway vehicle--they have partial plates

9:42:35 Officer gives 872-YEO plates; this is likely the plate of the getaway vehicle, not the "Lanza" vehicle.

9:45 a.m. S6 says they are already checking the inside of the school

9:45:47 a.m. Officer says "'K, I need units in the school, I got bodies here, but, uh, get ambulances…."

"He shot his way into the school," Malloy said on ABC's "This Week." "The school was locked. He used a weapon to open up the glass, and then walked in."

When asked if he "blasted" his way through the glass, Malloy said, "Right, with several rounds, a number of rounds."

"He discharged to make an opening and then went through it, went to the first classroom, as you know, went to the second classroom," he continued.

"We surmise that it was during the second classroom episode that he heard responders coming and apparently at that time decided to take his own life," he said.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47081357

Sibley saw 8-10 kids running from the school towards the firehouse. Wouldn't that mean something had already happened at the school? That the principal had already been shot by this point? Could they have seen down to the office from the front doors of the school? They didn't mention seeing any bodies, but Sibley saw kids running to the firehouse. In my mind, this means there were already shots fired. Did that other woman who was already at the door hear/see anything? Obviously, she would have had to!

Sibley walked to the door, saw the other mom, and said it was "so quiet." Where was "Adam" during this time then? Everything supposedly happened so quickly so assuming Sibley got there after the first gunshots had already been fired, wouldn't they have seen "Adam" making his way to the classrooms? Not that we've ever been given a clear visual of the layout of the front of the school...

They saw the glass window was shattered, said it was odd, and then heard the gunshots. Sibley said she "ran" and was "ushered to safety." Who took her to the firetruck? It sounds like they heard the gunfire, and then BAM! someone is there to instantly to take them away?

I don't know if this couple did other interviews, but in the one they did with Katie, Sibley never mentions that she called 911.

** Police dispatch is still giving directions to get to the school at 9:41 am. I'd really like to pin down the arrival time of the first officer.

Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT

Behind the dumpster, now were the 2 ladies hiding with a police officer. Lets clear that up as well. ?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31543670

Barbara Sibley and whoever she came with. One of them was the wife of a firefighter.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47081357

Ms Sibley did not call 911. She was escorted to safety so the police were there or pulling up right when she ran to the dumpster. I believe her husband was also responding to the scene.

Think about it. Since she was escorted to safety behind a dumpster why would she call 911? The cops were already there.
 Quoting: Dudeashane

Sibley and another mom came to school to deliver forgotten things or whatever. They arrived just after 9:30 a.m., and as they waited to be buzzed in, noticed car, jackets strewn, and then glass. They were just wondering what that meant, and then heard shooting begin. They called 911 and ran behind a dumpster; one policeman who arrived on scene shortly thereafter ran behind the dumpster himself either because he spotted them, or because he too was sheltering from shots that were being fired in or into the parking lot.

The ladies may have run at the first sounds of gunfire, or may have run because a shooter was shooting in the parking lot, or both.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47081357

2 things. You keep saying they were waiting to be buzzed in...you are assuming that. They never state anything about waiting to be buzzed in just that you had to buzz to get in. The image of 2 woman standing by a door and the pane glass window next to it has been shattered with a hole the size that a person could just walk in, press the buzzer and wait to be buzzed in, then they say gosh that's weird all that glass don't ya think?
They never mention calling 911. You also infer that. Do you have any thing that says she called 911 definitively?

Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT
FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH

"He shot his way into the school," Malloy said on ABC's "This Week." "The school was locked. He used a weapon to open up the glass, and then walked in."

When asked if he "blasted" his way through the glass, Malloy said, "Right, with several rounds, a number of rounds."

"He discharged to make an opening and then went through it, went to the first classroom, as you know, went to the second classroom," he continued.

"We surmise that it was during the second classroom episode that he heard responders coming and apparently at that time decided to take his own life," he said.

HE HEARD RESPONDERS COMING WHILE WEARING EARPLUGS !!!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31483651

Oh gawd, the good ole earplugs that they had to bring into this because they forgot to do a little research regarding Asperger's and noise/sensory issues.

Okay here is where the dumpsters are

[link to www.motherjones.com]

Hopefully someone can embed this pic.

This is your kids being escorted line. You will see the dumpster right behind the White SUV. There will be a cop with his weapon drawn nobody else.

Should we assume that Sibley is at the Firehouse by now? Shannon Hicks that took this pic says she got there with the first wave of responders and was taking pics like crazy.

Think she has a pic with Sibley by the dumpster?

 Quoting: AnonymousGirl

Sibley states she saw 8-10 kids running. Then she gets to the school an notices the car blah blah blah. Then she walks up and another mom is standing there ( uh waiting to be buzzed in right ?) . So did this mom not seem concerned when the kids came running out?

Lastly,

Interview with teacher in meeting saying she heard gunfire around 9:30

[link to blogs.wsj.com]

So this shooting must have started earlier mem is falling apart.

"Diane Day, a therapist who works at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, was sitting with the principal, other staff members and a parent in a routine meeting around 9:30 a.m. Friday when she heard gunshots."

They are the only people in the story whose view of events matches the 911 call Bob Nute received. Shortly after they call, saying they "think there's someone shooting in the building," and "the front glass is broken out of the building--they're unsure why," then another call comes from inside the building reporting someone in Room 1 with a gunshot wound to the left foot.

Two different perspectives--one outside the building, one inside. Two different 911 calls. The two "visiting moms" account of events matches Nute's first 911 call, and is the only one that can (unless there is a completely different person outside the building at the same time as the moms, whose presence is never mentioned).

Also corroborating this concept is Sibley's account that she was there with another female parent--this is further corroborated by the officer who says he is hiding with two parents behind a dumpster, minutes after the 911 call.

Re: SANDY HOOK SCHOOL SHOOTING REPORT
I know everyone's determined to keep the 911 callers' identities secret, but that's just not possible at this point.
