Doctor Uses New Technology To 'Re-Grow' Man's Finger...
...Using the bladder tissue of a pig, Dr. Rodriguez made a template of Halpern’s finger and attached it to what was left.

The result was astounding.

The finger’s cells, bone, soft tissue, even nail grew into the mold. “It’s very interesting to see a patient heal. That’s my passion, wound healing. It is fascinating to have the new results,” said Dr. Rodriguez.

It’s a procedure both Dr. Rodriguez and Halpern agree could pave the road for other more complex injuries.

“I’m really grateful. I think it’s fantastic I think in the future there’s going to be other uses for it but it wasn’t a life threatening injury to me it was something that was an accident,” Halpern added.

The doctor says it will be nine to twelve weeks for a full recovery.

Re: Doctor Uses New Technology To 'Re-Grow' Man's Finger...
Finger injuries illustrate just how amazing the human body can heal on its own without subjecting ones self to invasive surgeries and addictive painkillers. With the help of the powdered extract taken from a pig's bladder applied to the raw fingertip gave the finger the message to regrow.

I suffered a crush injury where the nail bed detached and the tip of the finger was ¾ off and at the emergency room after sewing the tip back together along with the nail bed, I had to see a hand specialist.

The hand specialist did not want to operate to reconnect the bone as he though he would have to amputate because of an infection but I used colloidal silver and curcumin for pain and swelling and ditched the brace after day three.

Day 8, I ditched the bandage and on my next visit on day 14 I could make a fist and did not need physical therapy thus, I was scheduled for my next appointment to see if the bone was starting to grow together. Well it was almost solidly reconnected the finger has a slight bend but not worse than my other hand and I declined to allow him to surgically “straighten” the finger.
