Obama waives ban on arming terrorists to allow aid to Syrian opposition.

President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to "vetted" opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.

Some elements of the Syrian opposition are associated with radical Islamic terrorist groups, including al Qaeda, which was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pa., in 2001. Assad's regime is backed by Iran and Hezbollah.

The president, citing his authority under the Arms Export Control Act, announced today that he would "waive the prohibitions in sections 40 and 40A of the AECA related to such a transaction."

What's truly shocking, is that the American people have not yet risen up in mass, descended on Washington & arrested our entire gov't to put them on trial for TREASON!
I mean, this is incredible & we started arming them openly just in time for the anniversary of 911! We should be ashamed of ourselves!! We dishonor all those who lost their lives 12 years ago by standing by & enriching the same animal enemies that were responsible!
And our military.. WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?! I would have thought some Generals would have arrested the usurper long before it got to this point!!!

It is truly shocking how much we will take. For heaven's sake, the Boston Tea Party was in response to the Tea Act. One little Act. Now we kill our own citizens, try to disarm them (while arming the opposition). Create concentration camps right in front of our eyes, the list goes on and on, and yet the majority of Americans are willfully clueless.

I now see how Hitler was able to kill millions right under the noses of the people.

Just got off the phone with my congressman's office. I called for impeachment. The responce from the staffer floored me. "Sir, an impeachment would have to be tried in the Senata and they aren't going to do anything so it doesn't matter."

Yes, I know that the Senate wouldn't remove Obama from office even for this level of treason, but it is stunning how time and again the house refuses to do a damn thing because the don't think it would matter anyway.

The republic has died.

Called my Senators too.

This is really a perscription for mutually assured destruction.

Well written! Sad to say that I agree with you. WISH I thought that there was hope for an improved future for our country, but things have gone to hell in a hand basket, and I'm afraid it's not going to get better. At least within the confines of the current form of government. A revolution might improve things, but that also is not likely to happen, and the benefits would come at great cost.

OH! and we have a lot in common. Trekkie here, and same thoughts about God. Google Blender Lady About Me and you'll see what I mean...
