He could give two shits about what this does to "average" Americans... "And how can a man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods..." ~ Horatius "Because he told the truth, and once you've heard the truth, everything else is just cheap whiskey..." Quoting: Saddletramp He could give two shits about what this does to "average" Americans... Got that right. You have to wonder, though, what the hell did the Great Omaha Oracle think was gonna happen with ObamaCare? I would think Berkshire would have some fairly decent economists on staff. Forcing coverage on people who don't want it and mandating pre-existing conditions be covered is obviously disastrous to anybody with a little bit of common sense, much less an advanced economics degree. Or, maybe, this is just the setup to move to single payer. We always figured they would "discover," at some point, that their little insurance industry reforms would fail, and they would move to get everyone on "free" government insurance. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |

All big D supporters. Now we need Wall Street to join in and maybe it'll get scrapped! A flag flown upside down is a symbol of a country in distress. As a result of the many traitors and enemies inside our own government and the many unconstitutional acts, legislation and atrocities passed and/or committed against our lives, liberty and property, as well as a reckless foreign policy meant to enrich and empower an already wealthy group of 'elites' while wreaking havoc around the globe and committing atrocities against large numbers of innocent peoples in the name of 'spreading democracy', the United States is no longer a free country and the lives of its citizens as well as the lives of our brothers and sisters around the globe, are in dire danger and distress. |

If they were to defund this nightmare today, I doubt that the insurance companies would call off these scheduled rate hikes. Quoting: Daughter of Nicholas This is my exact concern. Because buffet says scap it. It will be scrapped but dont expect your premiums to return to pre obama care rates. Fuck man im starting to really hate everything about the 21st century here in america. |

"we need something else" means we need a "warren friendly" law that he can exploit and make alot of money like he has done over and over and over. i hate obamacare, but when he is involved, taxpayers have to finance his exploits. he is a prime example of why rich people are democrats. |

Fuck man im starting to really hate everything about the 21st century here in america. Our insurance is provided by my husbands employer... There were many articles that warned that Ohio would be very hard-hit with rate increases, and let me tell you, they were not lying. Our rates for 2014 are triple what they had been for 2013. |

Winner, winner, chicken dinner! It has always been a setup. All of their little schemes are actually set-ups for much larger desired changes. THAT is how 'progressives' work, because their ideas and desires can't stand the light of day, let alone the review of their fellow countrymen... |

Warren/ Berkshire *already* cashed in on Obongo-care, big time...they bought stock in the insurance companies best profiled to do well as a result of the legislation, before O even "won" the election in '08, and bough puts against the anticipated losers, too. The campaign money was just part of the investment plan... He doesn't give a damn whether the law actually goes into effect now: his insider "bets" have already paid several hundred percent returns. And now he wants to gain back some of his credibility with "more conservative" investment opinions... |

Quoting: Bucephelus You know things are bad for President Obama when even Warren Buffett has soured on Obamacare and says that "we need something else." "Healthcare costs in the United States are like a tapeworm eating at our economic body. Those words come from famed investor Warren Buffett, who said he would scrap Obamacare and start all over. "'We have a health system that, in terms of costs, is really out of control,' he added. 'And if you take this line and you project what has been happening into the future, we will get less and less competitive. So we need something else.' "Buffett insists that without changes to Obamacare average citizens will suffer. "'What we have now is untenable over time,' said Buffett, an early supporter of President Obama. 'That kind of a cost compared to the rest of the world is really like a tapeworm eating, you know, at our economic body.' [link to www.weeklystandard.com] . Just like the unions, these assholes helped get this socialist jackass elected and get Ocare passed now want to jump ship. |
