Probably too early to tell but I am seeing governments that set out to seek support in parliament to beat Syria into submission, being sidetracked due to Russia's interference.

When it was unclear for the public whether chemical weapons were used in the first place, secret meetings in which the parliament got to view the evidence were conducted. However, since contradicting statements were being released on Who used the chemical weapons, suddenly parliament doesn't get to view anything anymore. At least, here in the Netherlands.

Similar to you, I am guessing they are seeking ways to justify an attack regardless of who used what. After all, Syria is just another country on our axis-of-evil to-do list.

As excited as I want to be about the possibility of legal troublles for this administration, the headline could just have easily read, chief of staff, or spokesman, or dog catcher stepped down. People come and go all the time especially half way through a second term. It's a pretty fluid enviroment up there. They've got new places to go and new people to screw over.

I would imagine so, especially after accepting the deal that confirmed that the US was no longer in imminent danger or threat, the only just cause for him to continue supplying the rebels (and Al Qaeda) with weapons. Without the imminent threat against the National Security of the US, arming the rebels would constitute the crime of Treason, committed by Obama.
