BREAKING: McCain attacks Putin in Pravda Op-Ed, pokes the bear!

You know, in a lot of ways McCain's rant is truthful: Putin is not the wonderful, peace-making leader many are making him out to be. However, the tone of McCain's piece is shrill and combative. It's hard to get past the macho chest thumping.

I took exception to several things in Putin's piece, but its tone was measured and thoughtful. In written correspondence, tone and voice are extremely important, especially when so much is at stake.

Also, McCain's hypocrisy is staggering, especially concerning the whistleblower.

I don't think most Americans are embracing Putin, but they do find his obvious "leadership" and decisiveness refreshing. We have not had such for at least five years now and the comparison between 0bama's weakness and Putin's strength is startling.

McCain is just nuts and no one is surprised by that.

All this snippiness reminds me of a bunch of teenage girls on Facebook. Geez.

You actually pay attention to what teenage girls are talking about on facebook? You must be bored.

I thought this article was about Russia!? Describes the US of A to a 'T'.

What a treasonous hypocrite! I'm pretty sure the Russian people see right thru that bullcrap.

Putin has to respond to this.

It could get ugly. This is not a good way to engage in diplomacy. Making it personal between leaders in government or rulers has in the past led to bloody wars.

Being opposed over Syria and Iran with threats of military intervention along with shit like this makes the games more dangerous.

Putin doesn't take criticism well.

what is really sad is we have the psychopath mccain and turdmuncher graham as our representatives as a nation,all the while america's gov and the media propaganda shills represent the complete opposite of the people's will and ideals. something must be done to clean house and put the govt and media back in the hands of the people.

It is a good letter and forces Putin to address his Totalitarian activities. I don't support McCain but you can't fault the man for telling the truth. Putin does jail naysayers, and he does strip people of their rights, and he does pass uncivil and barbaric laws, such as banning homosexuality. I am not homosexual but attempting to ban homosexuality when the world has accepted it is a step backward and will cause major issues for Russians.
