I think a lot of people are overlooking the bigger picture concerning Putin's calling American exceptionalism dangerous. It was essentially a bitchslap to Obama and the American Republic. Either way you read this, it's an insult: if you use the colloquial definition of exceptionalism, he's touting that we shouldn't get too big for our britches and that there's nothing special about American citizens. Very communist/NWO stuff. If you define it in the intended way, that is that the U.S. is founded on ideals that are different from any other nation on Earth, it's just as bad. In that case, he's saying that our country is no longer a superpower and we should just stop thinking of ourselves as such.

Either way, it pissed me off.
