I've been thinking the reason the government
has practically outlawed painkillers to where almost
no one can get them, is so that people with chronic pain will
be desperate
and will go for the marijuana when it will soon be
legalized across the US.

I recently read an article where some big money guys
estimated a fortune could be made if it were legal, and
pain killers like vicodin and percocet are dirt cheap
so there is no money there.

It's all about money these days, they just give bullshit
excuses to explain why this or that needs to be done.

Perhaps after weed is legalized, people
with severe arthritis and degenerating disks and
such will have access to pain meds once again.

If true, it's the first decent thing the man has done since he took office. He's probably doing it for some nefarious reason, though, and the first ones let out of jail will be Mexican cartel drug mules who happened to not be armed.

obviously I don't think crazy violent meth heads should be released, but there are a lot of non-violent people that got caught up in this drug war shit that got way more time than necessary.

Moron, they should lock you up and then you will feel safe you little pansie, go take your sisters clothes off. there are over 2 million people here in jail and 95% of the people locked up are of a non violent nature. yet we warehouse people for profit. i guarantee you if there is life on another planet we are the only mental institution floating in space who puts more value in a piece of paper (dollar) than all life, including the creator.
