How'd he "get screwed out of a million dollars"?
For one, all that piece provided was the CHANCE to play for a million dollars in the bonus round, IF he won the game and made it to the bonus round and IF he then happened to pick the million dollar envelope from the bonus wheel and then IF he solved and won the bonus round.
Sounds like a looooooooong way from being screwed out of a million dollars like he was owed it for just landing on that puzzle piece.
Also, the game has ALWAYS required that the puzzle be stated exactly as written. No adding an extra letter, no adjectives nor adverbs, no pluralizing, no anything other than reading it exactly as it is. Even when it's spelled completely out.
The guy wasn't screwed out of anything by anyone. He messed up. His fault. Sucked for him, but it was strictly on his own shoulders for being too nervous or whatever else and FAILING at that moment. It's called a consequence of your own actions. No one screwed him out of anything, he just messed up and cost himself.
Sheesh...
Besides... the guy with the real accent... pronounced it.
