There are more than 20.000 places where votes are counted, every tiny hamlet has an election office. In the rural areas, Merkel's CDU pulls 90% of the votes and the votes are counted out by two members of the CDU in most of these villages.

These election offices in the countryside are mostly completely empty after 12 am.

They can simply take votes they want to disqualify into a backroom when the election office is empty, take the same pen to it that was used to make the vote in the cubicles, and make a cross in every single square, and you will never be able to tell what the original vote was. This is how most of the manipulation works.

There is no outside control to this whatsoever. Barely any legal regulations as to who counts the votes and how they have to do it. It would be logistically impossible to control this, too.

They can also simply take some of the several million votes that were send in via mail and disqualify/disappear a chunk of those instead.

There is a silent consensus among the 4 established parties to keep 'extremist' parties like the nationalist AFD out of the parliaments.

It's bad in Europe for sure, but infinitely worse in the USA.

Sure everything's cheaper over there, but an entire generation just graduated into unemployment in the USA. I graduated in 2007 so I would have been one of them most likely. For young people, the EU offers way, way more opportunities than the USA do.

you're sadly mistaken. the US economy is doing better than any economy in europe. taken as a whole, the EU is a complete failure. you say 'infinitely worse' in the USA, and yet numerous EU nations; portugal, spain, italy, greece, and france, are shedding jobs and GDP by the hour. germany is barely maintaining .2% annual growth. so, keep that head in the sand lil hitler, meanwhile the US will keep being untouchable.
