I don't get how anyone can watch football. The broadcasts are almost 4 hours long and there are so many commercials it's ridiculous. There has to be 20 minutes of commercials for every minute of gameplay.

the only reason i ever watch any sport is when i gamble on them, otherwise whats the point? who cares who wins?

Football has been shit for years and all the commercials make me want to kill somebody......Probably be more entertaining watching two gay dudes buttfucking each other!

I can't stand football season. Whatever slim chance I had of exchanging a few meaningful words with a male coworker and on any meaningful topic whatsoever is totally gone for the duration of the season. Two or more together in heated conversation is sure to be about football. Nothing else matters to them.

I try to keep my distance because listening to it generates fits of laughter. Its the only way I am able to deal with hearing the extent of the idiocy of devoting such an insane amount of mental capacity to such a ridiculously trivial pursuit.

Yep UFS I feel the same way. Maybe its the dumb ass commercials mixed in with it I don't know.

i can't watch the nfl. a penalty flag on every play drags the game out to almost four hours. in college they can smash each others brains out all they want and the game keeps moving. less commercials, too, and less obnoxious dancing and monkey style hooting and hollering after every play.

what we really need is to bring back the gladiators, give the people some real bloodshed and excitement, and let some lions eat a few prisoners at halftime.

Betray me then. I loved football as a kid, as an adult I can't stand it. Football people are very shallow ignorant people.

I pity watching grown men get worked up over a game. So pathetic. Some of them care about their team more than their own family members. It's pretty pathetic watching a grown man yell and scream at a tv while wearing his favorite jersey and football. Retarded isn't enough to describe them. It is sport in general. It a marketing money making machine nowadays. They still want you to believe it somehow related to you, like you are baracking for the home side, the same blood you were born of.

But that a load of shit. People are swapped and bought like they're in a cattle market. Supporting one team is no different than another in that the origins of the players are dictated by money and financial profit.

Sport used to be about supporting local talent who in turn supported locals. A local now will look after his own interests first and change his colors based on cash handed to him. No loyalty.

And don't even get me started on all the artificial personalities produced to sell t-shirts to ten year olds. Cardboard cut-outs of people. It just all fake.

If you want sport, go down to your local oval and watch some weekend games. That's where some honest action can still be found.

I don't mind the game. The athleticism.

But the ads? Apparently there is some website which shows only the game. No time-outs, no ads, only the plays. Watch a game in an hour. It's inane now. The game is stopped every three minutes (intentionally) so the TV can spew its load of debt, pills, insurance, debt, fast food, previews of shows I don't watch, and debt.

I shut off the idiot box. I find I can follow a game online while bouncing back at forth between forums and news.

Bravo! I take in a local HS game or go to the community college. Much more relaxed and real.

i cant understand the fascination with an activity that involves grown men wearing skin-tight clothing, where one man bends over in front of another man. who then slides both hands between the first man's crotch and then receives a brown oblong object, not entirely dissimilar from what i left in the toilet this morning. then they all go chase this brown oblong object around a field, and squirm around all over each other in a big pile, and put their faces in each other's rear ends and crotches.

if that's something you enjoy watching, i don't know what to say.

I get the impression you were getting that way well before Football.
