Don't worry, it's a new Hollywood production, they are just props....I have a Studio insider told me, he says it's a 'Fly on the wall' type production.

WOW!

Cape Girardeau, MO (KSDK) - Hollywood is coming to southeast Missouri. Cape Girardeau has been picked as the setting for a new Ben Affleck movie.

The film is called "Gone Girl" and is based on a very popular book set in Missouri.

Everyone you talk to in Cape Girardeau seems to know about this project and everyone is keeping their eyes peeled hoping to spot some A-listers.

Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry and Neil Patrick Harris are just to name a few.

Film crews are setting up in the southeast Missouri town of Cape Girardeau to film the movie "Gone Girl" adapted from the New York Times Best selling book by the same name.

Some residents have already spotted the lead male star.

"Basically Ben Affleck was just standing around just talking," says Jessica May.

She says her driving by this lot full of production equiptment and props like TV news crew vehicles is becoming part of her routine.

"I have to admit yeah," she says she is going be everyday and looking for a certain star.

"Gone Girl" is about a woman who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary and her husband (played by Affleck) becomes the prime suspect in her disappearance.

For May it's not Affleck she's dying to see, it's Tyler Perry said to play Affleck's lawyer.

"I will try getting his autograph without getting ran off," she says.

Other stars are still heading to the shoot include Neil Patrick Harris.

"It's going to be a really fun year I go to Missouri to film it the day after the Emmys are done and start filming it concurrently while doing 'How I Met Your Mother,'" he tells the host of the Tonight Show's Jay Leno.

Even though not all the stars have arrived, police tell us filming has already started including a scene set inside Arena Park over the weekend.

"I don't know why they would pick this town," says May, but she says she glad they did if nothing else to grab a quick autograph.

This movie project still has a lot of work to be done, so don't expect to see "Gone Girl" in theaters until at least next year.
