Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 47244726 United Kingdom 09/23/2013 08:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Last night between 915pm 11pm I watched and filmed at least 20 moving objects fly over Stirling raploch. Now i have looked at the space station it was not over stirling at that time, I have also looked at iridium flares all links on video page nothing at that time. Need a bit of detective help here I filmed 2 of the objects That basically look like bright white balls of light some as bright as the moon I'm stumped what do you make of the pictures some feed back maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Quoting: Brian 47244726 Ps it was amazing to see so many big bright lights in the sky over a couple of hours. heres the video. [youtube] [link to www.youtube.com] can someone upload the video cheers. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 46956304 Australia 09/23/2013 01:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What shutter speed? The reason I ask is because you can clearly see the passage of the stars in the background. My guess is the shutter was open just long enough to capture the passage of an aeroplane but short enough to not leave long trails behind the stars which would have easily given you away as a fraud. Am I getting close mate? When real photos or video do surface they will be disregarded as fakes because of you and people like you. |

First one: [link to nova.astrometry.net] Appears to be Intercosmos 22: [link to heavens-above.com] The second one appears to be of the same, same time and sky location: [link to nova.astrometry.net] The next two appear to be grouped exposures with each other of one satellite, so here again is the astrometrically solved version: [link to nova.astrometry.net] Passing through Auriga at about 9:30.
