Does anyone know: Since it takes the senate to sign the treaty, how long will it remain on the table to allow the senate to sign it? Is there a time frame of years, or is it indefinite? Could a senate elected 20 years from now sign it as a treaty?

He could claim since it's arms that it's under foreign policy/commander in chief... so he doesn't need the senate...

IMO the treaty only stays till the next session of congress... So till January 3, 2015.

Actually, because of the constitution, the "treaty" itself is neither legal or substantive - regardless of who signs it. Attempting to enforce said illegal treaty would be an act of treason.
