Heroic Pit Bull saves wheelchair-bound owner's life after owner stabbed in head and neck

Yesterday afternoon, Teri Lynne says she saw a brave pit bull mix running in and out of traffic in Olympia, WA, trying to get help. Teri decided to follow the dog, who led her back to her home where her 67-year-old owner was lying on the floor, past an open doorway. He had been stabbed multiple times and his wheelchair was sitting upright nearby.

Teri says that she fully believes that Bella, the pit bull mix she followed, had come out into the street to look for help and to lead Teri back home to help her human.

Not only did Bella find someone to help her human, because of the 911 call Teri made, Bella also helped to set the wheels in motion so that detectives were able to get the suspect off the streets.

The 67-year-old man had been stabbed in the head and neck and is clinging to life at Providence St. Peter Hospital.
