We just saw this story on the news. I was outraged because once again when I read this:
A Montana teacher convicted of raping a 14-year-old student who later committed suicide will serve just 30 days in prison after a judge suspended almost his entire 15-year sentence.

I agree with you 100%. However with the revolving doors on the prisons and repeat offenders, especially Sex offenders many innocent people continue to suffer. I think they should get the best fair trial and then be put away or put to death. Not to be able to repeat.

So, you have no problem with me deciding what to do with you for violating my property? I see you live in the USA. You are OK with telling our legal justice system that we don't need them anymore? We, the public, will handle things. Police, judges and juries are not needed anymore. (I'm not saying that the legal justice system doesn't need improving, but to let anyone that has a beef against another to dish out the punishment is just ludicrous.)

So everyone should believe her? How do you know she is not lying? How do we know the child was not lying? Perhaps something she saw on TV? Blood thirsty bunch aren't you? Mob justice will not be so sweet when you are on the receiving end of the bat.

If I knew, 100%, that this guy sexually molested a child I might do the same thing. I wouldn't know unless I am in that situation. The odds go up if it's my kid and I see it.

The thing is, what if the guy didn't do anything? I need more info. for sure. This is where she's going to be in big trouble, she should have gone to the authorities.

Maybe he has a history of molesting kids, maybe that will be in her favor.

I don't think it was her child. We don't know that the child was a basket case, the thing is, we don't know anything except a child told her the guy had molested him/her.

What if the kid was a habitual liar? Not enough information for me to say it was right to murder the guy. When and if more information is available I would better be able to say what I think.

I would be careful if my child says this happened to them.

Just saying. I know my child and they do not see this type of tv and so if they can describe what happened and they can articulate it to me clearly.

I am raising questions as to what premise people deem appropriate before passing judgment as to the fate of someone.

The Bible says a matter is established where 2 or 3 witnesses confirm. In the old days, the 2-3 witnesses that testified against the person had to throw the first stones. I would prefer this kind of justice, truthfully.

Confidential informants (people paid to testify against someone) and the level of morality of people today make juries irrelevant in many cases. I recently witnessed 2 jurors coming back after the fact saying "we know he didn't do it but it was Friday and we wanted to not have to come back next week but we want to fix it now" sort of deal. Too late. The guys is going to prison for 20 years because their testimony will not be enough for a new trial.

Happens all of the time-no joke.

Which is my I support the 2 nd amendment and weapons+land=survival.

They can martial law a city pretty easy. Try martial law in the sticks. Much harder and I'm speaking from personal experience.

First of all, I am far from a Liberal. All I am saying is we do not know enough about what happened to say either way that she was right in killing the guy.

If it were to come out that indeed, he did something horrible to the child I would be the first to applaud her for saving another child from the same fate because as we know these types of offenders are not ever "fixed".

Unfortunately for her she is effed. She's probably looking at 1st degree murder since she got her bat and went out looking for him with the intention of beating him and possibly killing him.

I hope she gets a jury filled with parents.

This woman does have a history of taking care of things herself but to me children are sacred. We are to protect them. As I said before CO loves sex offenders. They refuse to truly punish them.

Pedaphiles have more rights then any of you and me. Throw in gays too.

Being a voice of reason is one thing. Such as, "I hope he got what he deserved, but what if he didn't?" This would be an operative approach, but we are typing here so I'm assuming your a NAMBLA supporter. Much like your assuming about me.

For the record - I have a Daughter & if I had caught someone abusing her I won't go into the details of what I would do but suffice it to say it would not be quick or pretty. If she accused someone but I had not noticed a change in her behavior I have a couple of different ways that I'd deal with it, most involve the cops, at some point.
We have 3 different Family members who, at one time or another, have FALSELY accused other Family members(& a Teacher) a sexually abusing them. Two of them did it because they "were mad". The Teacher was accused for taking her cell phone away & when she got in trouble, by her Step Father(he has been in her life since she was 2 & has always called him Dad), she accused him. It was several weeks before she admitted that she made it all up. The second one accused a cousin, the Families lived about a block apart & the two Families spent a LOT of time together, well, they did PRIOR to her "getting mad" & damn near ruining his life. The last one at least has a legitimate excuse. She went through a HORRIFIC case of Postpartum Psychosis. She spent 4-5 days straight, with ZERO sleep & the following 2 weeks in a Psychiatric Hospital, during which she spent 24-36 hours singing & ONLY singing. She, quite literally, sang EVERYTHING that came out of her mouth. Questions, answers, talking to herself & talking to/with others. She was VERY self conscious of the weight that she had gained, during her pregnancy, but decided, during her "break from reality", that clothing was "ridiculous & if our Most High, Heavenly Father had wanted us to wear clothes we wouldn't be born naked", took ALL of her clothes off, ran around the Hospital, singing, dancing & having a grand old time, until they restrained & sedated her. It wasn't until they gave her a robe, which her Husband brought her from Home & a tiara & convinced her that she was a "beautiful Princess" that she would stay covered up for any length of time. She then told her Mother off, in spectacular & spectacularly vulgar fashion & accused her own Father of sexually abusing her for the majority of her Childhood, starting "as early as she could remember, he pretty much did it all of her life, until the moved, when she was 11 or 12". Even though her Father knew that she was making it up, as did EVERYONE ELSE, it still bothers him, nearly 5 years later.

Why did I take the time to write this wall-o-text? To give a different perspective & to say that, though I am a Father &have VERY strong feelings & thoughts on the matter........sometimes, for any of a number of reasons.......kids lie.
