So...

Why in most soccer teams nowadays, that play in the 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 tactical schemes, the two forwards wear the shirts number 9 and 11?

A reference to 911?

You mean 9 and 10?
11 is traditionally the number given to a left winger.

9 10

11 4 8 7

3 5 6 2

1

For those who don't follow football, 1 is the goalkeeper, fullbacks/wingbacks are 2 and 3, each number represents a man and a position blah blah. The attacking number 9 often sits BEHIND the number 10, linking up midfield to attack, and holding the play until the midfield enter the final third. 11 is just the equal opposite of 7.

Most teams don't follow this standard formation/numbering system now, but this is considered traditional in English and European football.

My 4-4-2 diagram failed, so here's a better one compelte with position names.
