The best thing to do when you're anxious is to find something to take your mind off yourself. Find someone in need and help them. It never fails. The more focus that is placed on one's anxiety, the more anxious one becomes. Watch a funny movie. Do anything where you're not left to ponder your state of mind. Learn to let go and allow the process. Resistance really is futile. lol

I wouldn't call it anxiety in as much as I would call it watchful waiting. You know that really heavy sort of electrical feeling in the air before a severe weather outbreak? It's like that. Been feeling it building as the day goes on, and other people I've run into have commented on it also.

Sometimes when I'm trying to fall asleep I'll just get a huge anxiety attack and want to hurl. Then I'll breath deeply and be fine again.

But I think you're right. I just watched a bunch of videos last night as I lay in bed and kind of cried some stuff out of me and I gradually forgot about what I was worried about and nodded off.

I had been doing great there.

I was extremely tired last night and actually laid down at 7 pm. I couldn't keep my eyes open but never actually fell asleep until after 11:30 and then about 4 am I woke up feeling nervous and antsy. I can't explain it at all, I have no different type of stress today than usual. I feel like I am coming out of my skin. Help! Is anyone else feeling something similar?

Re: Over a Week of anxiety, little sleep and pulsating noises in my ear....Do you feel it too?
Anyone who is battling anxiety should get their adrenal glands checked and stay off of GLP. Find an alternative doctor. Please. This changed my life. I am on a supplement regimine now and I no longer struggle with this.

There is also power in the name of Jesus. He is our healer. He is our peace. Stop meditating on doom and gloom and get into the Word of God. Start in the gospels. I rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus. The thing about anxiety is the more and more you focus on it the worse it will get. People who battle anxiety and mental disorders need to take in the healing power of God's word and start replacing negative/obsessive thought patterns with what God's word has to say.

God loves you, He is your refuge.

1 John 4:18
New King James Version (NKJV)

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."

Philippians 4:6-7
New King James Version (NKJV)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

2 Timothy 1:7
New King James Version (NKJV)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Isaiah 26:3
New King James Version (NKJV)

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

John 14:27
Amplified Bible (AMP)

"Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Peace to you all, peace to those reading this. I pray the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds. Anixety, worry, fear are all torments from the pit of hell. Run to God and ask Him for help. For those of you battling anxiety I have been there.

The book Gift Inside You by Dr Caroline Leaf really opened my eyes. We don't have to think we what we are thinking about. Speak life over yourselves. Block out the bad. Our minds are meant to go 24/7. BE STILL AND KNOW HE IS GOD! REST IN HIM.

Re: Over a Week of anxiety, little sleep and pulsating noises in my ear....Do you feel it too?
thinking about anxiety makes you anxious, infact the worst thing for this kind of disorder!

Also I find if my OCD is bad it really can flare up my anxiety levels.

So actually getting obsessed with something eg. computer game etc. actually can cause worse anxiety after you leave this environment.

WHat i find best is, 1) good diet 2) drink lots of water to clear out your body 3) Excercise, if your feel especially anxious, go for a walk or run 4) my anxiety tends to flare on buses/trains as i am more aware of myself, best is to keep these trips at a minimum, even better, take up cycling. Cycling means your focused on something other than yourself and excercising too!

5) get rest and get into a daily routine, make sure your tired at bedtime, as i find this period of the day to be when peak anxiety hits.

6) avoid alcohol, i find to have really bad Fear anxiety in the two days after a alcohol binge and then generalized anxiety on days 3/4.

7) it takes time, take all these steps and in time your anxiety will get much better but it won't be perfect on week 1 or week 2 and could take until month 2 to full work in.

LAST) most important, do not slip into your old habits, these habits are what has lead to your panic episodes.

Avoid stress. Take notice of your OCD. Avoil Alcohol/Caffeine. ANd stay strong, with dedication you can beat anxiety.
