I wonder which was the look on people's faces if anyone saw my giant turtle falling 10 floors and smashing him/herself against the sidewalk a few years back. I still wonder how it managed to squeeze between those metal bars. He/she didn't fit... It was a shemale, yes. It's very common in turtles and tortoises.

I'm not sure but I figure if these things can take out wolves/deer they could probably do some damage to me. An infant would be an easy target. Luckily there are not too many infants in the great Russian wilderness. At least I hope so. Nature doing nature stuff.

Golden eagles so awe-inspiringly awesome. In all the time I've spent in the Colorado rocky mountains I've only seen one and that was back in the early 90's.

I enjoyed, so here is for the afternoon crowd.

Over the years and hundreds of hours of National Geographic and countless other wildlife programs...I never remember seeing or even hearing of birds of prey taking down the larger canine predators. I did feel a little sorry for em and thought that one wolf was getting the upper hand until another eagle pounds down on it's back. It looks like the wolves are running from the hunters when all of a sudden they get hit with a taloned rocket. Unless the birds are hitting the right spot in the back to paralyze the victim...it looks like a pretty painful way to die. The one looked like it was eating the tongue out of one wolf.

Nature can be cruel sir! That is for sure. I try to remember that running on self will Man is not much better. So cheer up! It's a crazy world out there!
