What the fuck is the matter with you guys? I know lots of people who have been locked into jobs they hated because of insurance coverage either for themselves, spouses, or children who had medical conditions. Even if offered another job, which they would have liked, they couldn't take it because they would have been ineligible due to a pre-exisiting condition. Now, they won't be able to deny people on that account. This is good thing. Don't cut your nose off to spite your face. I'm not an advocate for Obama care. But, I'd like to see what actually happens. It will most probably be too expensive. But, it could then be tweaked to lower costs of care and drugs. I have worked all my life, but been crippled with medical bills much of the time. I have not been eligible for health insurance for ten years due to a simple, controlled case of high blood pressure. We had a kid with cancer. 'Nuff said. Nobody should have to go through the hell our corporate medical/pharmacy rip-off sucks us dry with. I hope this thing will be the beginning of people demanding better than what we have been stuck with.

If I had saved up and made plans to start a business of some sort, it would be good to be able to insure myself and the family. What's wrong with that? Don't forget that the greedy fuckers don't want anybody to rock the boat. And, they are behind a lot of the criticism, with their mega-bucks.

I criticize it, too, because it still uses the rotten insurance companies. It's about insurance, not health care, primarily.

Yeah I'd stick with my job. If you don't have healthcare, you get the student doctors, nurses, intern's, etc. Most people aren't aware of this.

Takes ten years of three hour practice days to get good. Once you learn the horn, then you gotta play three or more paying gigs per week. Maybe one on Sunday morning too. Tour occasionally. Teach lessons.
