Re: What is the Purpose of Life?
answer this. what is wisdom?
 Quoting: chipg

Wisdom is knowing when to stop, when to go. What to say. Wisdom is being conscious and aware. Wisdom is having compassion and sincerity. Wisdom is making every single word you say into law, by an unwavering dedication for truth. Wisdom is fleeting. It can be there one moment, and gone with the slip of the tongue.
 Quoting: Sage Wisdom

wisdom is knowing what don't work...
 Quoting: chipg

Hahaha that's exactly right! I wish I would have know what don't work. Would have saved a lot of heart ache.

Re: What is the Purpose of Life?
This. He's even got the look down perfect.

Have the most fun you can while progressing, just make sure to follow the basic common sense principle of doing the least amount of harm as well.

Life began as an agreement between energy to group up in a host and share a repository of information that would be updated regularly. The simple purpose was to flourish, remembering information to avoid pitfalls and eventually to prevent boredom or stasis. Of course we now see what a horrible mistake it is to ignore the basics. Thus, the continual promotion of homogenous behavioral characteristics and output, the lack of justice, freedom, and respect, the refusal to remove festering corruption, and massive lack of proper disclosure regarding a multitude of issues, has given rise to the outcry for massive intervention. The majority of energy is very pissed off and a lot of us can easily feel that frustrated disappointment that lingers while seething and growling, demanding an immediate adjustment. It is not a question of if things will change, only a question of how smoothly, quickly, and can it be done without overhauling our entire system of government. We shall see.

For those interested this is an excerpt from a long interview where Jerry talks a bit about GoD.

"
David: What's your concept of God if you have one?

Jerry: I was raised a Catholic so it's very hard for me to get out of that way of thinking. Fundamentally I'm a Christian in that I believe that to love your enemy is a good idea somehow. Also, I feel that I'm enclosed within a Christian framework so huge that I don't believe it's possible to escape it, it's so much a part of the western point of view. So I admit it, and I also believe that real christianity is okay. I just don't like the exclusivity clause.

But as far as God goes, I think that there is a higher order of intelligence something along the lines of whatever it is that makes the DNA work. Whatever it is that keeps our bodies functioning and our cells changing, the organizing principle - whatever it is that created all these wonderful life-forms that we're surrounded by in its incredible detail.

There's definitely a huge vast wisdom of some kind at work here. Whether it's personal - whether there's a point of view in there, or whether we're the point of view, I think is up for discussion. I don't believe in a supernatural being.

Rebecca: What about your personal experience of what you may have described as God?

Jerry: I've been spoken to by a higher order of intelligence - I thought it was God. It was a very personal God in that it had exactly the same sense of humor that I have.(laughter) I interpret that as being the next level of consciousness, but maybe there's a hierarchical set of consciousnesses. My experience is that there is one smarter than me, that can talk to me, and there's also the biological one that I spoke about.

David: Do you feel that there's a divine plan at work in nature?

Jerry: I don't know about a plan. I don't know whether it cares to express itself that way or even if matters such as developmental constructs along time have any relevance to this particular God point of view. It may be a steady-state God that exists out beyond space-time beyond our experience, or around it, or contemporary with it, or it may function in the moment - I have no idea. "

But in reality, it was the arrogance of the white man's own ego that was playing the role of God.

The white Christians believed they were the children of God. This belief was so strong and inspiring to the benefit of the white man, the idea of "manifest destiny" was used as a social empowering tool to conquer the entirety of the land mass.

I am sorry if the article created conflict with you. Please don't take it personal. Jewish, christian, Muslim, it doesn't matter. It was the belief of being inspired by God to conquer the land that I am getting across. I am not Jewish either. I definitely do not affiliate myself with Judaism.

I realize my article may be unsettling to some people, but I intend no harm to anyone. But I do want people to question the idea God wants you to kill and conquer.

Re: What is the Purpose of Life?
Purpose? To experience this physical realm. All the good, all the bad, all the indifferent. To experience.

Think about it..when you are dead what will your existence mean to those that are left? Maybe a few will miss you. Maybe a few will be glad you are gone. But when those that remember you are gone then you are forgotten. So the experience is the reason for being..YOUR experience.

This is my definition of reality: We are a physical manifestation of an aspect of "god" experiencing the physical realm.

Where "god" is "all that is" and we are simply one aspect of that totality..

I've quite recently discovered that there is in fact retention of memory in the afterlife. I simply could not comment on the notion with certainty for almost 40 yrs until finally getting the answer definitively, at least to satisfy my long time skepticism efficiently.

There is no purpose. You are born, you work to survive and deal with lifes ups and downs and then you die.You leave this world just like you cam into it with nothing..All it is is a circle. Some might enjoy it a bit more than others but we all end up the same way...so there is no purpose.

Finites are required for the infinite to possess nothingness, which is absorbed by the Infinite, as all finites are tools to this purpose. This is the means by which omnipresence is achieved. The infinite becomes omnipresent when it exists everywhere, even within absolute non-existence. Finites provide that service as we are all proxiies.

you are a stupid dick that took his words out of context. My god, shill cunt. Here is what he said...

"However not long prior to the war, when the black man was still considered a "tribal heathen" it was acceptable in the eyes of God to control them, to use them, and to dispose of them ever how they wished. They were considered a lesser species much like the Native Americans and other "pagans". Now before you become too indignant, this is a good thing for us today as a society, it benefits us with resources, money, and technology. So I am not saying anything should have changed. It is what it is. But it is a nasty mark on the evolution of the collective ego of mankind."

I hate people that use a small percent of a text to make them out to be something they are not. Everything he said is true.........

We Never left ... You need be Immortal to figure that One out of course ... Thou shalt have no other Gods before me

I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Revelations 21 ... “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
